I see that you haven't responded to my questions and challenges from page one. Repeating your message without responding to questions is not discussing
Kinda difficult to discuss with those who are on "ignore," eh? God Bless...

With respect, it is difficult to understand your posts. Perhaps your command of written English isn't that great, in which case I would encourage you to put effort into learning.

Bibles are not "perfect in their imperfections". I don't know where you got that idea, but it's wacky.
so you r saying god makes mistakes...i guessing u don't think of it that way...at the very least he allows bad translations...1 more thing bibles r not god..is that wacky 2?

If you merely ignore any disagreement with your position, you are in the company of tyrants and fools. Remember, this is a DISCUSSION site.

No, God does not make mistakes. Yes, God does "allow" bad translations. He "allowed" the Fall and everything that resulted from it, which includes bad translations.

Correct; bibles are not God. I didn't even remotely suggest otherwise, so I don't know why you made that point.

I disagree. His word is infallible... without error... perfect. No translation is this.
Well, the "originals" are full of translations from one language to another. What language did Joseph speak in Egypt? Yet, the Bible has what was said in Egyptian and perfectly translated it into Hebrew. That's a translation. The original was Egyptian but the translation was Hebrew. Shall I give more examples?

Hi.. Is there any bible versions that anyone believes may be closer translations to the original languages than some of the more popular versions?
Actually there are a very large number of Christians right here (and on other forums) who believe that the King James Bible is the most faithful and reliable English translation even though it has always been under attack. The fact that it is still a leading English translation after over 400 years attests to its excellency. As to the archaisms, you can always consult the King James 2000 Bible if necessary. Most Christians do not have a problem with this. And whether people like it, or not the fact remains that it is the most quoted Bible both is religious and secular circles.

No, comparing one translation to another cannot tell us which is true. It's fundamentally impossible. The only thing you can determine is which aligns with your presumptions. If you come with the presumption that one translation is correct, you will conclude that the other is incorrect, but your reasoning will be faulty and your conclusion invalid.
So basically we have all the English bibles in error and no one still produces one. That's not what the bible is telling us that God will produce and be published.

You haven't, but I have and that's the reality.
Psalm 68:11

King James Version

11 The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.

All I meant was, what the Father says (His word) is perfect... and the writings we have today are not. We don't have the first writings that were ever created.... so I was not trying to compare them to perfection.

We don't need the originals to have the perfect, pure words of God without error. God perfectly preserved His words in English through the King James Bible. Every word can be trusted to be the perfect translation in English.

So, you DO NOT TRUST "The Re-Written Roll" of The Prophet Jeremiah, because "the FIRST PERFECT writings" WERE DESTROYED by the king?:

Jer 36:27 Then The Word of The LORD came to Jeremiah, after that the king had burned the roll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying,
Jer 36:28 Take thee again another roll, and write in it ALL THE FORMER WORDS that were in the first roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah hath burned.

IF THESE RE-Written Words WERE NOT "The PERFECT Infallible Words OF THE LORD," THEN, pray tell what were THEY, eh?

What makes you think that version of the bible is perfect compared to others... and which version/year of the King James are you speaking of?

Do we have that re-written roll? Was it written in English?

be diligent to present thyself approved to God -- a workman irreproachable, rightly dividing the word of the truth;
How do you "study" when YOUR "version" CHANGES it, And HOW do you RIGHTLY DIVIDE "ALL The Truth" WHEN your "version" has 2,800 "Words of TRUTH" that ARE MISSING?:

KJV:
2Ti 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, Rightly Dividing The Word Of Truth."

Eh? Just wondering...

The editions all contain the same words, just updated spelling. The KJV has never been revised.
