Luke 1:35
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that Holy Thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Mary carried to term and gave birth, but Mary did not conceive by ordinary human means

:coffee::unsure:
Yes, of course, the Holy Spirit of God overshadowed her... what I meant was, about what some people
believe, is that Mary had nothing whatsoever to do with the conception, as if one of her ova was not "used."

Hence, Jesus being more or less "inserted" into her womb. However, Luke 1:31 says:

And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.

Luke 1:32 . . .The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David

Before Jesus could be considered for David's throne, he first had to be
among David's biological descendants; no exceptions.

Ps 89:35-36 . . Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto
David. His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before me.

Ps 132:11 . .The Lord has sworn in truth unto David; and He will not turn
from it: "Of the fruit of your body will I set upon your throne"

The New Testament verifies that Jesus satisfies the biological requirement.

Acts 2:29-30 . . Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the
patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulcher is with us
unto this day. Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn
with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he
would raise up Christ to sit on his throne.

Rom 1:1-3 . . Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David
according to the flesh

The Greek word for "seed" is a mite ambiguous because it can refer to
spiritual progeny as well as to biological progeny; but in this case, it's
biological because David's seed is 1) the fruit of his body and 2) of
his loins according to the flesh.

FAQ: Jesus was virgin conceived. How then could David possibly fit into
Jesus' biological genealogy?

REPLY: That would be a piece of cake if Mary's biological father descended
from David; which Luke 3:23 would easily prove if its language and
grammar were not so controversial.

FAQ: From whence did baby Jesus obtain a Y chromosome for his male
gender?

REPLY: In the beginning, Eve's entire body-- inside and out, front to back,
top to bottom, and side to side --was constructed with material taken from
Adam's body. (Gen 2:21-22) So if God could construct an entire woman
from material taken from a man's body, then it shouldn't be too difficult for
Him to construct a teensy little chromosome from a woman's body.

Seeing as how Eve is the mother of all women (Gen 3:20 & Acts 17:26) then
any material taken from Mary's body to construct a Y chromosome for baby
Jesus would be owed to Eve's body; and by construction: Adam's body.

The beauty of it is that a Y chromosome constructed with material taken
from Mary's body wouldn't be an alien substance created ex nihilo; but
would be 100% natural, and easily traceable all the way back to Eve, and
from thence to the very dust that was used to construct Adam's body.

I'm very confident that what I suggest herein actually took place when the
power of the Most High overshadowed Jesus' mom per Luke 1:35; and if my
suggestion is true, then little Jesus was thoroughly a Jew-- biologically
descended not only from David and Abraham as all other Jews, but also from
the Man that God created in the book of Genesis.

Heb 2:17 . . He had to be made like his brethren in every way

why was He born of a virgin?

Jesus was on track to become God's direct descendant: in point of fact,
God's one and only direct descendant, i.e. His next of kin. (John 1:14, John
1:18, John 3:16, John 3:18, 1John 4:9) In order for that to happen, it was
necessary that God be the initiator of Mary's conception instead of Joseph.

we have to understand His humanity without setting aside His deity, and His deity without setting aside His humanity, and understand that His humanity is perfect while also His deity is perfect.

it's no simple thing to grasp - and i think we all fail at grasping it more or less, until we all know Him fully together.

great indeed is the mystery of godliness!

I wonder if you understand what I am saying .

I fully agree that Jesus was/is 100% God and 100% human.

(And I think you know that?)

I was simply commenting on what some others believe.

They say Jesus was inserted into Mary's womb as if Mary did not conceive via the Holy Spirit of God.

I find that a bit bizarre.

They must also overlook/ignore "seed of a woman."

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed
and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

When the Word of John 1:1-3 came into the world as the flesh of John 1:14,
he came not as a divine man, rather, he came as a Jewish man. (Phil 2:6-7,
Heb 7:14)

In time, the Word's Jewish man was promoted to the rank of deity as
compensation for his unusual degree of self-sacrificing service to both God
and Man. (Isa 52:13-15, Phil 2:8-11)

Jesus' advancement wasn't without precedent. For example in Gen 41:39-44
Pharaoh elevated Joseph to a position of rank and power very near equal to
his own; plus he entrusted Joseph with Pharaoh's own personal signet which
gave him power of attorney to authorize federal projects in the king's name:
in practicality, Joseph was Pharaoh's proxy. (Gen 44:18)

God has done something very similar. He seated Jesus on His own throne
(Mark 16:19, Acts 2:33, Col 3:1) and endowed him with "the name" that is
above all other names. (Phil 2:9) That name is Jehovah: there is no name
higher than that. So now Jesus is God's proxy similar to how Joseph was
Pharaoh's, and people need to revere Jesus as God the same as the
Egyptians back then revered Joseph as Pharaoh. (Rev 1:8 & Rev 1:18)

Naturally because Christ is God manifest in the flesh, His will is one and the same

I don't think 'micromanagement' is an accurate description of the mind of the hypostatic union; it implies coercion either regardless of or potentially against one's own will.
definitely Jesus is God but some forget he became a real Man while he was on earth

“saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭22:42-44‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye hear, and watch with me. And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26:38-39, 42‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus divinity isn’t a question but what about his humanity ?

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:14-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

notice how Jesus speaks from the viewpoint of a man in the gospel but after he rose up he accepts worship as God something he wouldn’t have done before his death

“Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:28‬ ‭

jesus had to live life as one of us not as God he had to become a man which includes making himself subject to God

“but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:7-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus time on earth is when he became a man before and after is when he is on his throne

He was certainly worshipped before His resurrection!

Matthew 2:11
And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

from His birth even the angels call Him Lord

Luke 2:11

Also the washing of his feet and anointing them was an act of worship.
& again explicitly here when Peter had walked on the water --

Immediately Jesus reached out His hand and caught him.
You of little faith,
He said,
why did you doubt?”
And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying,
“Truly You are the Son of God.”
(Matthew 14:31-32)
note that calling Him "Son of God" is described an act of worship: every time anyone says that of Him, they are worshipping Him

yeah definately he is worshipped as the son of God the messiah in the gospel several times( after he walks on water and calms the sea and winds , after he heals the blind man ect ) I agree

what I was saying he always did this while on earth he always separated himself from the father in some way making the father always greater showing that he himself was also subject to God always showing he is the son , God is the father he is greater

“My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.”
‭‭John‬ ‭10:29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus does this very consistently

“For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”
‭‭John‬ ‭12:49-50‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He’s always showing the position of the man of God the son , for instance Jesus prayed often showing reverence , teaching his disciples to pray , Jesus went through stressful hard moments and turned to God because he also became a man and carried our infirmities and plight

During the gospel Jesus often speaks as if God is seperate of greater than he he also says things like “ I and my father are one “ of course towards the end of the gospel , but mostly he’s making it clear that God is in heaven and is also within him as we hear the gospel and see Jesus baptism receving the spirit and begin preaching salvation

This is very significant point in Jesus life and begins the gospel being preached

“Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, and the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭3

but this also is extremely significant is what I was getting at

“Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

preparing to die

“I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.”
‭‭John‬ ‭17:4-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

there’s a shift at that point after he died and rose

“Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.”
‭‭John‬ ‭20:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

shortly after Jesus said that he accepts for the very first time this title of worship

“Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.”
‭‭John‬ ‭20:27-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

what I’m saying is Jesus created all things but the. There came a point where man became lost and no man was worthy To intercede and save them , so he became a man lived a worthy life and gave it away to save us then he returned to the glory of God before all things

it was necessary that a man intercede God became that man

“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

now we have a living intercessor forever

“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭7:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭1:2-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:14-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2:18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭8:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Before Jesus was born lived died and ascended to heaven man didn’t have an intercessor

“And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him. For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke.

So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭59:16-17, 19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Now after Jesus became a man lived died and rose and ascended to the right hand of God we have an intercessor God became that man to interceded for man

“Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:34‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He’s God of course but in Christ God created an intercessor for us

note that calling Him "Son of God" is described an act of worship: every time anyone says that of Him, they are worshipping Him
Also the Jews who were enemies of Christ clearly understood that "Son of God" meant that Christ is God, and they deemed this to be "blasphemy".

Matthew 2:11
And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with
Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had
opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and
myrrh.
The wise men revered Jesus not as a deity, rather, as a Jewish monarch.

"Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the
king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, saying:
Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the
east, and are come to worship him." (Matt 2:1-2)

The Greek word for "worship" in that verse is a very general word depicting
adoration, and/or submission relative to one's betters, superiors, and/or
folks we admire; either human or divine.

The gifts they gave Jesus were common trade items of that day, and exactly
what might be expected given to a king as tribute. No doubt the gold came
in very handy during Joseph's temporary residence in Egypt.

from His birth even the angels call Him Lord
Luke 2:11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who
is Christ the Lord
Well of course the angels speak of Christ as "lord" because he's God's heir
apparent and as such is light years better than they.

"So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited
is superior to theirs." (Heb 1:4)

Christ is God's next of kin whereas the angels are grunts.

note that calling Him "Son of God" is described an act of worship: every time
anyone says that of Him, they are worshipping Him
Calling him God's son is one thing, calling him God is quite another.

Up until Christ's crucifixion, people here and there could think of Jesus as
God if they wanted to. But now everyone is required to. (Phil 2:9-11)

* It is very difficult to convince Jehovah's Witnesses that Jesus is a divine
being, whereas it is just as difficult, if not more so, to convince Christians
that he's a bona fides Jewish man biologically descended from David and
thus biologically descended from Adam.

FAQ: Why is there so much confusion related to Jesus' status?

REPLY: Because the facts are confidential.

"No one really knows the Son except the Father, and no one really knows
the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal
him." (Matt 11:27)
