Yoseph ben Caiaphas was the jewish high priest during the times of Jesus' ministry and was chosen because of his siding with the Romans rule.

Caiaphas was the leader of the Sanhedrin and was of the class of Sadducees which were more wealthy, and worked in the Temple. The Saducees also did not believe in a resurrection.

Always wondered what he thought when he heard Yeshua raised Lazarus from the grave and yet never mentioned it when the Lord came before him. Your thoughts??

Caiaphas was no different than all the naysayers and heretics which we have today (even on Christian forums). All you have to do is ignore truth and reality and manufacture your own theology.

the same way people dismiss Jesus today. Caiaphas had more faith in himself than he did in the Son of God

“Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles. If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.

And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all, nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.

And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; and not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death.

Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.”
‭‭John‬ ‭11:47-54‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it was the final straw when he raised Lazarus they all including caiphus began to plot and kill Jesus because they thought of they didn’t rome would destroy them because of Christianity and this miracle working man of God as they saw him

Jesus tells a parable about this earlier showing their ebvious spirit towards him The messiah who came to save them

John 12:40 King James Version 40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.

“but their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament;

which vail is done away in Christ.

But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:14-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭42:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:3, 6-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬
