Why would history be new to someone not focused on end times? You seem bothered by my lack of interest in your preferred field of study.
History? Oh there is much MUCH more to that post of mine than some offhand notion of merely teaching a bit of history. But truly, such a quaint assessment betrays a failure of wanting to know and needing to know. Both of those useful traits are of such a poignantly indispensable nature that we should endeavor to possess them in inexhaustible measure.

Wonder no longer. Listen and be shocked and awed. At how ignorant we all really are.
Well "were" as far as I am concerned, as I have heard (and understood) these lectures with the greatest zeal and diligence.

Ignorant no longer, faith ever stronger.

And NEVER FORGET: Adam was NOT DECEIVED, because of which Adam is the primordial (and perhaps the pre-eminent) "type of Christ".

1Ti 2:14
And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
ok, l definitely enjoyed that explanation.

I was wrong. Yours is not a preferred field of study. It's an obsession.

In my studies I have found the world is about 6000 years old. Anyone else studied time from Adam?????
I am of the opinion that the earth is ancient. I could be wrong, but I think the "yoms" were epochs and not literal days.

Maybe you ought to go back to the scriptures and do a time study

Adam created day 0 ---------- Seth born at age 130 ------------------------------------------- Died 930 years old from creation

Seth (130)---------------------- Enosh born at age 105-----------Lived 912 years------------ Died 1042

Enosh (235)----------------------Kenan born at 90----------------- Lived 905 years-------------Died 1140

The Ancestors of Jesus

I'm sorry, I misunderstood your opening question which you opened with the phrase, "In your opinion...". Here I thought you wanted to stimulate discussion, and not lecture or argue with people. Silly me!

But then again it WAS a thrilling pursuit, with an unassessably valuable payoff pursuant to all of the foregoing sweat equity.

So sad to hear of your failures in both the seeking and the acquiring buddy. Here's hoping that in terms of scholarship, something will eventually just sort of pan out in your favor or fall into your lap.

I stridently disagree. I am of the extremely rapid multiple catastrophism model.

For reference see The Flood, the Babel catastrophe, the Peleg catastrophe, the many catastrophes noted in the book of Job (the earth was still very unstable), Sodom, and basically the entire book of Revelation.

Furthermore realize that the Biblical creation account matches a cosmological plasma Z-pinch scenario perfectly. And don't forget to factor in a far lesser ZPE field strength early on, with a vastly higher "speed of light" more properly stated as the rate of induction through the aether.

Just to let you know "standard model" cosmology and geology is a joke. An endless series of clueless assumptions that lead to a ridiculous conclusion.

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan[a] also came among them. 7 The Lord said to Satan, “Whence have you come?” Satan answered the Lord, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it.

Rev 12:7 Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8 but they were defeated and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him
just out of intrigue, do you think the Events in Revelation Chapter 12, take place before the Creation of the Garden, or, it falls somewhere around how most of Revelation will take place, later, but before the Second Coming?

And, if you think Later, is it relative to when it happens and then a few years later, Armageddon, takes place?

I am one who see's things in order, events in Revelations are seperate. Timing of the angels being thrown down happens during Last Trumpet. I like the wording Satan knows his time is short. Just not one to give up

The earth is incredibly, incredibly old—even billions of years old—where once upon a time, the Leviathan and dinosaurs roamed. (Job 41)

1. His sister
2. His siblings
So it is your belief that Adam and Eve had other children that spread out into the world, and had families, etc, all before Cain killed his brother?
That is "assuming" as much as my theory assumes. Perhaps more.
Again, look at the timeline given to us in scripture.
"Male and female" created on the 6th day, were told to fill and subdue the earth/sea and all the creatures.
Adam created, then placed in the garden. "Some" time goes by, God sees he needs a mate, creates Eve....

So, either the creation of "male and female" on the 6th day was not the story of Adam and his/Eve's descendants, and it was telling us how "mankind" filled the earth before Adam and Eve were banished from the garden....
Or, the 6th day was a really long day, more than the 24 hours that the "evening and morning" suggest.

Eve being the mother of all living would be true, since everyone was destroyed in the flood, except Noah and family, who were from the seed of Adam. "Mankind" was now gone from the earth. All that were left were of Adam's lineage.

Again, this is not a salvation issue.... simply some thoughts and a theory....

There is ample evidence, despite the attempts of "scientists" to cover it up, that dinosaurs and men lived contemporaneously.

If you have about 1 hour and 20 minutes to spare, then here is a good documentary on that topic:

There are NO reliable methods to know the age of the Earth or Universe using science.

I saw an article yrs ago that definitively proved the Earth cannot be more than 10,000 years old, using over 50 proofs. Things like silt build up from the Mississippi River, the moon actually moving a few inches further away every decade, and many other natural processes. I'll try and find it.

But we have no idea the rate of radioactive decay back then. It could have been many times greater than today. And speaking of scientific methods that are THOUGHT to be constant, the speed of light is almost certainly slowing down. It's surprising how few times the speed of light has actually been measured.

So trying to date the Universe by how fast the light of a star travels is useless. Light was likely multiple times faster millennia ago.

But we can actually toss all that out in believing a young Earth.

Do you think Adam was created as an infant? or was he much more likely created as full grown man?

The same could apply to the Earth. God could have created the Earth with a "built in" age to it.

Personally, I'm going to believe Scripture. And the Word says 6 days. That is good enough for me
