Jer 30:7
Alas! that day is so great
there is none like it;
it is a time of distress for Jacob;
yet he shall be saved out of it.

IMO That day will be called the Day of the Lord. Jacob's troubles begins when the antichrist takes his seat in the temple of God in Jerusalem and the full weight of the troubles are bared during the vial or bowl judgements. Since the antichrist takes his seat in the temple in the middle of the 7 or 1260 days or 42 months,. so shall Jacob's troubles last for Israel for another 42 months.

Danel 12
“How long shall it be till the end of these wonders?” 7 The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream, raised his right hand and his left hand toward heaven; and I heard him swear by him who lives for ever that it would be for a time, two times, and half a time; and that when the shattering of the power of the holy people comes to an end all these things would be accomplished.

Please read Josephus' Wars of the Jews... then consider what Jeremiah was foreseeing. :)

I don't have a digital copy, and my physical copy is not with me at present. I'll have to get back to you on this.

Josephus was writing about what happened in the first century. That has absolutely no bearing on the future "time of Jacob's trouble. What you are forgetting is that this time of trouble for the Jews is ABSOLUTELY UNIQUE. See Daniel 12:1. And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God. (Zech 13:8,9) This also ties in with the Second Coming of Christ.

Hi Omegatime, I agree the Day of the LORD that is to come soon, corresponds to end time events and the second coming of our Messiah Jesus announced in revelations. Many other end time prophecies also use this term, I am referring to Joel 2, 3, Ezekiel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Joel 2, and others, The Apostle peter also mention this, He wrote (KJV);

2Pe 3:1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2Pe 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
2Pe 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
2Pe 3:4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
2Pe 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
2Pe 3:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
2Pe 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
2Pe 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Who can be ready for such an event? the bible mentions there will be a safe place?;

Mic 2:12 I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.

Rev 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

However it cannot be Bozrah as it is written;

Jer 49:13 For I have sworn by myself, saith the LORD, that Bozrah shall become a desolation, a reproach, a waste, and a curse; and all the cities thereof shall be perpetual wastes.

Unfortunately I am ignorant about many aspects of the bible, I confess it I still have plenty to learn, I have not yet started to study the rapture, it is interesting ( and depressing when i see name calling ) to see sometimes the long heated debates about it on this forum about the rapture, the truth is somewhere in the bible and I will try to find out.

Yes the Kingdom of Heaven is on it's way, the signs abound, there is no doubt in my mind.

Blessings.

“And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judæa flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.”

Behold, a day of the Lord is coming, when the spoil taken from you will be divided in the midst of you. 2 For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken and the houses plundered and the women ravished; half of the city shall go into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Zech 14
