Default Re: Do Christians who commit suicide go to Heaven?

Why are you asking this brother? If it's for curiosity, that's cool. If it's because you're thinking about killing yourself,
You should not do that!

From the Word:
"Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.""
1 Corinthians 6:9-11

Trust in God! He has your future planned out, full of amazing things. Just seek after him!
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.""
Jeremiah 29:11. Context: God talking about his plan for the people of Israel.

Check out Philippians 1:19-26 to see how Paul dealt with wanting to die. He was in prison at the time, and was having a pretty rough go at it. Also, if you're in for a longer read, check out the book of Job. It's all about a guy who gets broken down to nothing, but perserveres and continues to trust in God. In the end, both of these guys were blessed and rewarded for their perseverance.

Now, to specifically address your question -- I think it is mostly nonsensical. Suicide, as it is commonly used, refers to killing oneself when you are unable to deal with the state of your existence. Through God a Christian can cope with anything, so they wouldn't commit suicide. However, should a weak Christian give in to Satan and decide to kill himself, I still believe he would go to Heaven. How your life ends doesn't change the fact that Jesus bought you, and washed your sins away.

If you have any questions, or just need to talk, just PM me.

God bless you brother!
