Re: What to do when you feel as though you were set up for failure by the church?
The place you go to worship might of set you up for a failure, but God will never set you up for a failure, unless it is not God's will, which He would not help you in that instance.
28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose(Romans 8:28).
All things work for the good who follow God in the truth,so if you are following God in the truth, then that what you think is a failure is really for the good, but not everyone is in the truth,or rather not righteous,so they could fail at something they tried to accomplish that they thought was good.
God wants us to go about doing good but if it is like a big commitment in a certain area,God might want that person in another area.
We can take on projects where God wants us to do another project.
I might say I want to pastor a Church, but God might say I want you to go to Africa and preach the word,so my wanting to be pastor although a good thing would be by my own efforts.
