These are only a few of the many verses mentioning Zion. Based on the whole of Scripture, the Zion mentioned before the cross is Jerusalem. The Zion mentioned after the cross is the New Jerusalem.

2 Samuel 5:7 "Nevertheless David took the strong hold of Zion: the same is the city of David."
1 Kings 8:1 "Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion."
2 Kings 19:21 "This is the word that the LORD hath spoken concerning him; The virgin the daughter of Zion hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee."
2 Kings 19:31 " For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this."
Psalm 20:2 "Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;"
Psalm 48:2 "Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King."
Psalm 76:2 "In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion."
Psalm 78:68 "But chose the tribe of Judah, the mount Zion which he loved."
Psalm 102:21 "To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;"

Hebrews 12:22 "But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,"

God Bless

Since the LORD's word is perfect, perhaps the original Hebrew script will give us a clue as to the mystery of Zion. For instance, It begins with the letter tsade (which is one of 8 crowned letters and Hebrew speakers sometimes call this letter the "tzaddik" the righteous one). The next letters are a yod (hand), a vav (nail or a tent peg, and also a crowned letter), and the last letter is the final form of the nun (another crowned letter whose final form also represents "righteous one").

If the daughter of Babylon is the antithesis of the daughter of Zion and we expect the daughter of Babylon to be on earth...

Galatians 4:25-26 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.
But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

To answer that, you need to first understand what heaven is. Heaven is God's throne. That means that whenever God is the one who has authority (like ruling from a throne) in a person's heart, that person is a part of heaven. Heaven is therefore a term synonymous with the true believers and with Christ, who is called a lamb in the midst of the throne. A city in the Bible is not alluding to a physical place as much as to a group of like persons from many times and places on planet earth. The heavenly Jerusalem is like that. It is the group of true believers. They are a part of heaven even when they are walking around on planet earth. That is why God gathers them (the elect) from one end of heaven to the other (Matthew 24:31). The heavenly city is not a physical bunch of buildings like one finds on planet earth cities. It is a group of persons. That is why Zion, the heavenly city, is called an innumerable company of angels. Angels means messengers. It is saying that there is an innumerable company of true believers, who are messengers. That is why Zion is called the city of David. David means beloved, which is another way of saying Christ and the true believers. They are the beloved. The city of the beloved, of God's true believers, his messengers. Anyone who is saved is a part of this Zion.

Zion is in the same place it's been since Old Testament days. The same place that the Lord restored His people to, just as prophesied. An event so stunning that it was prophesied to cause even "the heathen" to know He is Lord:
ZIONISM IN PROPHECY

Just as anticipated by those great men of God of the Reformation through prophecy, centuries before 1200 years of Islamic rule had desolated Jerusalem, and centuries before the restoration of Jews to our covenant land ever began to take place:
ZIONISM IN CHRISTIANITY

Just as date pinned mathematically by Daniel, through two cross-confirming math problems in prophecy, that span 2500 years in perfect parallel:

The city of Jerusalem that exists in the nation of Israel is in bondage, and is no longer the "mount of Zion".

Galatians 4:25-26 "For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

This is in perfect harmony with what Paul wrote in Romans 9:

Romans 9:4-9 "Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed."

Jerusalem that now is, is full of Hebrews who deny Jesus as the Messiah. They claim to be children of Abraham through the flesh. Unfortunately for them, if they do not repent and accept Jesus as the Messiah, they cannot lay claim to the promise given to Abraham, and hence they are no longer apart of the true Israel of God. Physical flesh means nothing in Christ.

This explains why the New Jerusalem is called "mount Sion". It is the Holy Hill of the LORD for those who are the children of Israel through Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 12:22
"But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,"

You can quote all of the "Islamic" prophecies regarding Jerusalem you want. While it is true that battles are being waged over that city, it is only a deception to keep our eyes diverted from the true "mount Zion". It is very clear that the only Jerusalem that we are to look to now is the one that will descend from above.

God Bless

Hmmmm..... Pretty interesting choice of emphasis. You underline the two verses except for the part that didn't advance your desire to bash Jews. With such an apparent desire to do so, perhaps you tend more toward Arnold Murray's Serpent Seed cult, than WM/EW's. But let's look at the verse, with the emphasis placed where it more rightly belongs.

For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

The good olive tree of the seed of Isaac that I was grafted in among, as a branch of the wild olive tree, to partake with them in the root and fatness of their tree.

Rom 11:17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
SPIRIT OF SLUMBER

Isaac Newton: “Hence I observe these things, first that the restauration of the Jewish nation so much spoken of by the old Prophets respects not the few Jews who were converted in the Apostles days, but the dispersed nation of the unbelieving Jews to be converted in the end when the fullness of the Gentiles shall enter, that is when the Gospel (upon the fall of Babylon) shall begin to be preached to all nations. Secondly that the prophecies of Isaiah described above by being here cited by the Apostle is limited to respect the time of the future conversion and restitution of the Jewish Nation, and thirdly that the humour which has long reigned among the Christians of boasting our selves against the Jews, and insulting over them for their not believing, is reprehended by the Apostle for high –mindedness and self-conceipt, and much more is our using them despightfully, Pharisaicall and impious”

ZIONISM IN CHRISTIANITY

Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

For those that are unfamiliar, the term for this is supersessionism, or more simply put replacement theology.
REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY OR SUPERSESSIONISM

This explains why the New Jerusalem is called "mount Sion". It is the Holy Hill of the LORD for those who are the children of Israel through Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 12:22
"But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,"

You can quote all of the "Islamic" prophecies regarding Jerusalem you want. While it is true that battles are being waged over that city, it is only a deception to keep our eyes diverted from the true "mount Zion". So when your not out bashing Roman Catholics ala WM/EW, you're out bashing Israeli Jews eigh? Including those faithful Jews whose OT scriptures we share, and who worship our great God YHWH, and whose lives revolve around their temples and faith based communities. Jews who may remain blinded to the Gospel, by God Himself, unto this day.
SPIRIT OF SLUMBER

But let's set your false presumptions aside, and consider who scripture describes as the "children of the flesh", in the portion of scripture that you conveniently left out so you could bash the seed of Isaac:

Galatians 4:22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. 23 But he [who was] of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman [was] by promise. 24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. 25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. 26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

So is it any surprise that we find the seed of Hagar, those born after the flesh, the Ishmaelites, prostrate themselves toward the Quraish pagan's black stone idol in Mecca five times a day, while praying in the "vain repetitions of the heathen" as the scriptures describe "salat".
THE HAJJ AND UMRAH

Are obligated to travel to that black stone idol, and march around it, as the Arabian moon, sun and star worshipers did in their pilgrimages before Muhammad was ever born. Even kiss the Quraish pagan's black stone idol as Muhammad did.
THE HAJJ AND UMRAH

Are obligated to run back and forth between al-Safa and al-Marwah as the Arabian jinn-devil worshipers did before Muhammad was ever born.
THE HAJJ AND UMRAH

A ritual that Satan's "messenger" adopted and adapted into Islam, with an entirely unhistorical and geographically impossible fable/lie about Hagar having done so.
GEOGRAPHY OF MECCA - ISLAM

Additionally, the seed of Ishmael are just as prophesied:

Genesis 16:11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, [Hagar] Behold, thou [art] with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction. 12 And he will be a wild man; his hand [will be] against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]Bukhari, V1 B2 #24 Narrated Ibn 'Umar: Allah's Apostle said: "I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's Apostle, and offer the prayers perfectly and give the obligatory charity, so if they perform a that, then they save their lives an property from me except for Islamic laws and then their reckoning (accounts) will be done by Allah."[/FONT]
Quran Surah 9.111 Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in truth, through the Law, the Gospel, and the Qur'an: and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah. then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: that is the achievement supreme.

JIHAD AND ISLAMIC TERRORISM

Gal 4:28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. 29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. 30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. 31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

Good analogy!
Ephesians 2:4-6
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved ;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Edom was a name given to Esau
