Well, when my hair was short, I sometimes put in a hairpiece that would give me a ponytail in the summer. I wasn't struck dead. And I didn't hear God gasp. No sickness - no feeling of guilt - nothing.

I'm quite sure that the Holy Spirit would have caused me to feel something if He disliked it. And I see nothing in the scriptures about it.

Follow your conscience after praying. The Holy Spirit will guide you as to what is right for you.

Somehow I thought that human hair IS natural hair..lol.. I've never used extensions or anything like that, but I don't see anything wrong with it. :)

Really, this is a profound question! We are not to mix things together that God did not make to go together, it is something God says to do in spirit and truth---to do literally but only as we do it spiritually. God looks at our heart.

If you look at it in it's deepest sense, it would be how we look at law. Is it something like the law the police go by where you either obey or you go to jail, or is it more as the word Torah says---is it guidance to a good life. Scripture seems to indicate we can obey to the letter giving all sorts of rules around the spiritual law and obey all those without once obeying the spirit of the law.

I am watching two households who make it a law not to have TV in their homes. One pair of frowning parents forbids TV, saying it makes them holy sort of things. The other household doesn't have TV to excite the children, take away their time from bonding and fun things, and to live closer to the Lord. Neither has TV for their children, but what a difference in the children.

It is the same with mixing real and fake hair!

Most hair extensions are made of natural human hair anyways.. not all of them, but most..

I have trauma induced alopecia. I have all my hair but when it gets to about an inch long it falls out. It hurts when that happens. So I have a shaved head all the time like that girl from the music video nothing compares to you. I wear wigs all the time. One day im blond the next im red or brown or bald. There is absolutely nothing ungodly or wrong with it. It is not who I am its just what I do to make me feel normal and natural. God gave me the joy of being a wig model and showing people that no matter what, God makes everything beautiful in Him.

I have never worn hair extensions, but as New Testament believers we are certainly not under Levitical law, so there is nothing wrong with wearing them that I can see.

RedTent, you have just committed an egregious sin against the Word of God! Bad exegetical, poor hermeneutics, and ridiculous application! Your words can only be compared to the Pharisees, whom Jesus scolded for tithing on mint and dill, neglecting the weightier things of the law!

When I was 13-18 I was fat abused tortured and imprisoned by a monster who was my dad, but I had long long blonde hair that I just adored.. I would stand in the mirror hour after hour brushing it.. I worshipped it.

At 26..it started to fall..I thought I would die from the grief. At 28 my mother was murdered. . My brother brain damaged.. and rushed to a safe house, where I met Jesus.

I believe in the midst of my darkest days the light met with me..cherished me..healed me....and held a mirror up to Himself and reflected his glory and beauty in me. If losing my hair which was my idol was a price I paid to go from death into life. .then it was a price id pay a milion times..for my beloved Jesus.

Really, this is a profound question! We are not to mix things together that God did not make to go together,
One could argue that God gave us the power to make them go together. If God really didn't want us to attach hair extensions to our natural hair, he could easily have ordered the world in such a way to deny us the option and power to do so.

I think grafting different trees together is a brilliant idea - lots of tasty fruit from a single tree. But one could argue that God didn't make them to go together like that - or you could argue that God gave us the power to graft them together.

The whole idea that God doesn't want us to make things go that He didn't intend to go together is rather vague and presumptuous. How far do you take it? Were macaroni and cheese made to go together? What about salt and pepper? Oil and vinegar? Interracial marriage? Unless God explicitly listed items for you, you have to make more than a few assumptions about what God did and didn't "make to go together" and what our role is given that we have the power to make all sorts of things go together that wouldn't have done so by natural means.

These are the trips of OT law. OT laws were made within in a specific context, specific setting, dealing with specific people and issues. It's hard to extract much of anything from some of these remotely, if at all, applicable laws.

If attach human, goat, lamb, dog, cat, hair to your what difference does it make. I personally would not, but I can't find a reason as to why that would be wrong. I meant Adam and Eve were covered by animal skins.

That's like asking is it ol to have a car or a cell phone- I don't think wigs or hair attachments existed back then. So we need to stay as close to scripture as we can- and God is specific about hair length. Therefore I believe that as a woman if I lost my hair due to cancer or something, it would be better to wear a wig of human hair than to go bald.

I personally don't think it is wrong to mimic nature in your appearance. For example, there are people with red hair, blond, black, and brown- so I think it is OK to dye your hair these colors, but not to dye your hair blue or any other unnatural color. I think makeup should look like you are not wearing any- not like a clown.

I personally do not see anything biblically wrong with hair attachments.

I am very often covered in dog hair. I am thankful for my dog and thankful for all the hair. Yes I know this isn't quite the same as intentionally adding hair but ... I wish I could explain to each of you how deeply you are loved by God.

To the author of the post: God knows your heart. I believe these words apply to your question. "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love."

To Angela53510: were your words to redtent loving or were they something else?

Glory be to God

I have never thought twice about hair in regards to God, long or short, real or fake, I doubt it matters.

I started losing hair when I went on high blood pressure medicine. No way was I going about with my scalp showing. Now I wear a wig every day and love it. But I don't even think about hair when I spend time with the Lord.

If you wear a wig every day for hours on end. A good medical grade wig will last 12 to 18 months. Mine cost between 500 hundred dollars and 1000 dollar's. I have 3 at the moment one blonde..one red and one brown with red highlights. They are synthetic. To get the medical grade wigs in human hair would cost me nearly 3000 dollars each. Also they dont Recommend human hair wigs for cancer patients because people undergoing cancer treatment have low immune systems and human hair can be a source of infection.
