Just want you to know that a malfuction kidney does not cause diabetes, and scientist say that everything they have no answer for is a chemical imbalance... if you want too much sex. they say it is a chemical imbalance, they say that eating to much, depression, people who can't control their anger is a chemical imbalance,, I watch discovery health almost every day and they do studies for everything there is no real answer for and they call it a chemical imbalance. every one in this world has fluids surrounding their brain and it do not not causes physical illness. cancer is in the body, high blood presure, disbetes, tumars, cickle cells, lupus all these and more affect the body unto death and physical pain. none of these and many more can be ignored because of the death it will cause...
the others is a basic change your mind about how you feel or act... except insanity which is tied directly to the devil... learn the bible; God will show you.. people who are depressed and always talk about; I believ if you do what God said to do, it will go away, I know I did it.. I needed no medicine; all I needed was Jesus... and he helped me see myself the way he sees me, but some people who say they are depressed are realy not, just looking for attention, if they was truly depressed they don't want to talk about it to no one.. all they do is cry almost all day.. or sleep.. or stay to them selves... but to talk about it every day, tring to convince people they are so depressed, is sick to me to play on other's emotions; the love and care and compassion they have to want to help that person.. I believe God will judge. depressed people feel no one can help, and that is why they want to die, everything is worthless and useless and there is no hope in their hearts neither can it enter their mind.. people are here looking to draw others into their deceptiveness that they can try to drain the drive of helping those who really are depressed. for what ever the reson to do something so evil to another; only God knows.. I can only geuss, which I choose not to,,, my help to someone who really is full with sorrow, is to advised them to read the Word of God and get to know the Lord just a little bit he will drive satan away from you and give you the strength and wisdom that is need to never let him back again...[/quote]

Wow, I am so happy that God gave you a miracle of healing and that your depression is gone. I am so thankful to Jesus that through his death on the cross he has giving you eternal life and you have such a close walk with God. I am thankful for the grace and faith and humility with which you show your caring to people on this chat site. That is why I am so confused about your stance on depression. God will judge all people for all things, that is true. And if someone should be judged for a lack of faith or grace, depressive thoughts, or the ability to bear pain then I guess that will happen as well.

However, depression is REAL, and it HURTS, and it can even kill people. Perhaps a closer walk with God is necessary for those of us suffering from depression and anxiety. I am the first person to get down on my knees and say God, help me have more faith, more grace, more love for you and less love for myself. BUT, I can assure you that no matter how close or far from GOD I have been, it does not change the fact that depression is a real MEDICAL condition. It is serious, it must be treated medically if it is severe enough for that necessity, and unless you are a doctor, it is reckless to tell people that they are faking it when they say they are depressed.

I will as you say, pray harder, read the Bible more, talk with God more about my depression, but I can guarantee you I am not faking my depression. And if I have it because of sin in my life, demon torment, lack of faith or all of those three together, at the end of the day, the chemicals in my brain will still be out of balance until God decides to fix them either through medicine or his healing grace.

Get some books on Generational Curses, Family Curses, and Word Curses...Larry Huch has some excellent teachings.
Henry Wright in his "A More Excellent Way" gives spiritual root causes for TONS of human maladies....also worth the money.

People perish for LACK OF KNOWLEDGE. You need to KNOW MORE about how the spiritual realm works and how YOU are to have authority over it.

Maggie, I love you as a sister of God, but I do not agree with your theology on matters of mental illness and I will not change my mind on that. I will pray for a lack of division between us on these matters. But until then, I still do not agree with your way of thinking on mentally ill people and how to treat them. And until God changes my mind, please allow me to respectfully disagree without veering into an argument.

Respectfully,

Debbie

I agree. In addition, such material would bring only fear and self-loathing to someone struggling with mental illness. Maggie, I think that you are well meaning, but wrong.

How about this:

If you, yep, you, was never sick at all, would you go into doctor's offices or hospitals and preach the Gospel or visit the sick?

Do all that while you're there.
