Charles Stanley has one foot in hell, because He rejects the Holy Spirit.

A Christian who kills himself will still go to heaven; however, he will lose eternal rewards because of his action.

Letter from man to Charles Stanley...
I've been saved for 26 years, but for much of this time I allowed the sin of homosexuality to rule my life. Though I wholeheartedly agree with this choice of lifestyle, I sometimes fall into pornography... only to repent with tears.

I practice spiritual warfare and know I'm truly forgiven. The Lord has blessed my walk of obedience these last few years with a peace unlike any I've known but I do continue to struggle, I just need a good word from you brother.
How does Charles Stanley respond???

Does he say this...

Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Rom 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Rom 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Rom 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Or this...

Eph 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
Eph 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
Eph 5:3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
Eph 5:4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
Eph 5:5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Eph 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Eph 5:7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

Or this...

Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Gal 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Gal 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Gal 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Gal 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

No he doesn't. Instead he tickles the man's ears with this...

May you be judged in the same manner that you judge others in your heart for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. If we judge according to mercy we shall be judged by mercy. In the same manner that we judge it shall be measures unto us again and I am not speaking of the one who struggles with inordinate affections but the other. We judge according to mercy when we declare to others what mercy has done by removing what we deserve and gives an abundance of grace which is not deserved. The legalist will never be able to comprehend when to minister mercy and grace because they are so bound by the law.

It is very interesting that the teaching that one "obey Jesus and do the right thing" is viewed as legalism and condemned.

Yet the teaching that "one can sin and not surely die" is all about mercy and judge not.

The mercy of God is actually that we have the opportunity to repent and forsake our sin and be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ. That is grace and mercy.

It is satanic to teach that one can continue to sin and still enter the kingdom. Yet we live in a time where up is down, down is up, evil is good and good is evil, well as far as perceptions go anyway.

2Ti 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2Ti 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
2Ti 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
2Ti 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Mat 12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
Mat 12:35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
Mat 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
Mat 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Mark 8:17-18 And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened? Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?

Charles Stanley has some good sermons. But his life does not match up! He divorced his wife, his son, Andy Stanley, who he was grooming to take over his business... er.... I mean church was estranged from him for many years, and left and started his own church.

A pastor needs to be without reproach, and his lifestyle needs to match his words! Listen to him, but take what he says with a grain of salt!

Are you saying that if anyone has a spouse who decides to leave, or children who turn against you, it means that what you speak about of scripture becomes wrong?

I have no idea what this man's personal life is, but your judgments of his sermons seem to be based on that idea.

No, I meant I join you in wanting an explanation for Charles Stanley not believing in the Holy Spirit, elf3.

As to the divorce, let's not be misinformed or disingenuous: Charles Stanley's wife divorced him, which a man can do nothing about, I don't care what the reasons for not getting what she wanted, if they are even true (who admits their own blame in these situations, always the other's fault): she failed for better or worse. I didn't see Mr. Stanley running off to a lawyer. This is not his shame.
