Isaih 10 learn not the way of the heathen, for one cut a tree out of the first and fasten it with nails that it move not , they decorate it with silver and gold. Also if you study the roots of Christmas or easter , it comes from all pagan roots worshipping false gods.

Derp. Or all of the Christians who read the Bible in context and also realise God redeems that which is pagan for His glory.

Here's the only BIRTH I celebrate. The Birth of the Son of God from the dead! :)

(Col 1:18)
And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things
he might have the preeminence.

(Rom 1:3)
Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

(Rom 1:4)
And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened.
For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

Therefore let us (keep the feast),

not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness;
but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

“Take heed
to thyself that thou be not snared by following them [pagan religious customs]
and that thou inquire not after their gods

“Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day,
every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes”

I think we have a pretty accurate date. As I understand it Jesus was born Sept, 12 3BC
Which brings up an interesting point. If people are truly convinced that they celebrate christmas because they want to celebrate Jesus' birth, why don't they celebrate closer to His actual birthday? Otherwise, they're implying that the traditions are more important than Jesus Himself.

the scripture does not mention christmas........ so it is obvious...
Well, i was just putting the question You asked back onto you. So why do you expect people to answer questions about Christmas in the bible if you already know it's not in there? Oh, yeah, to be underhanded in you attempt to be right. But once the tables are turned it exposes your motivation and intent.

I'm thankful He was born, (and even more thankful that He still lives!) but He never told us to celebrate it and the disciples never did either. I say celebrate Jesus and God in the way they asked to be.

I know it is not there......probably they don't know it is not there...it would be an opportunity for them to go look it up...what is the underhand attempt to be right? how is the tables turned...that you might know my motive and intent????
you want to celebrate christmas go ahead it is just not scriptural....so don't try to make people think it is...

pseudo christians celebrate christmas
"thought it not robbery to be equal with God". Ironic you have that in your signature as you turn around and play God by claiming people are not Christians if they celebrate Christmas. As you if you know their heart so well, by one thing, that you can declare them unsaved. Rest assured, you may place yourself as God standing in judgment but i will not be praying or bowing to you, or any other false gods.
