I wasnt sure wether to post this , but after many months of expeariencing this I still do not understand this.
I find myself weeping when I pray or talk to God Our Father.
At first I thought it was do to healing in my heart, but he has done this. Then I though God was just making sure I cried all my tears .
But it is still happening.
Then I thought tears of joy.
I still do not fully understand.
I have asked all the usual questions that we all would ask , but still have no real answer.
I am filled with Joy before Our God Our Father and still I weep.
I weep everyday, when I pray or consider another.
I know that there is always the possibuility that there is a personal reason but feel there is something more to this.
The closest to understanding is when I think of all in the world because that makes me tear up emedeatly.
I once saw something in a post about this but it was some time ago.
I just wonder if there is a biblical reason so that I wont keep wondering if Im doing something wrong .
Any way if any of you know some scripture I can read that might help I would be greatful.
Even if it means I doing something wrong.
Thankyou and God bless, pickles

From what it sounds like, you are feeling the Love of God for people and for yourself.

You are definitely not doing anything wrong. If you weep for other people you are feeling the same love Jesus feels for them. This is good according to:
1 John 4:7-21

I would encourage you to read these verses carefully and meditate on them.

You must have been through a lot to have this much love for God.It is definitely not wrong. When the women in the bible washed Christs feet with her tears Christ commended her and said not many could serve and show her type of love, maybe you are one of these spectacular people. God Bless keep weeping till we meet him again, then we shall shed no more tears amen.

Nothing wrong.....you just have a passion/ministry for intercession perhaps.

I hope the other posters are correct. From a counseling viewpoint, this weeping may be a sign of emotional fragility. It can be a sign that you have been through so much emotional trauma that your mind is needing a rest. I am particularly concern because the weeping is occuring with no connection toanything good or bad. I think you should talk to a pastor or counseller about what is going on in your life. I will remember you in prayer.

The weeping she's experiencing is connected to prayer, as she stated in her post, which said "I weep everyday, when I pray or consider another".

I believe Graybeard, and any other who suggested that this is a ministry of intercession, is correct. Personally, I believe that some things are too precious to analyze. If you review Pickles posts, you will see that 80% of the time, she has simply responded with, 'You're in my prayers'.

My Pastor often weeps before the congregation when he delivers a message. He genuinely cares about his congregation. Pickles also stated that she is filled with Joy before the Father, and yet still weeps. There is no emotional fragility here, my friend, but a sensitivity to the conditions of others which could only be born of the Holy Spirit. We should all hope for such a passion.

Somehow I missed that in my original reading. Thank-you for pointing it out.

Oy…. When I pray for abused (sexually, mentally, and emotionally people) I cry, when I pray for the peace of our homeland (Jerusalem and Israel) and ask G-d to remember how He defended us in the days of old and confused the nations against us and fought the battles for us I cry, when I pray a blessing over my son every day before he goes off to school I do not cry. I do not care less or have less compassion for my son then the others (honestly, personally he is probably more important to me on a personal level), I do not know why I cry or why I don’t ( I know there is nothing wrong with me), it is what it is and G-d hears all of my prayers! (and answers them too!)

crying is catharsis

you are most likely to cry in the presence of someone you trust

I hope the other posters are correct. From a counseling viewpoint, this weeping may be a sign of emotional fragility. To say such a thing is NOT edifying!! And is not true. Weeping during prayer is call TRAVAIL! I am surprised...even shocked that 12 posts went by and no one 'got it'!!
Travail is the deep intercession of an intercessor! Travail is almost always tears, and often deep groanings of the Holy Spirit THROUGH an intercessor. Pickles...you have the heart of an interecessor...it is a spiritual gifting. Not everyone is called to interceed...although we are all called to pray. This is a very cool thing. So don't fret about it...just go with the flow of what Holy Spirit is doing THROUGH YOU! ASK Holy Spirit what it is He wants you to pray and go with what He puts in your thoughts.

You may want to check out my next post in this thread. I somehow misread the original and thought she was just having fits of weeping. I apologize for the error.

God can let you feel how he is feeling. A world with millions of people on the way to hell God is very upset. Some people have a gift of feeling how other people feel so they can pray.

Don't worry, Pickles, you aren't alone. Sometimes I have to turn off the Christian music station on the radio because listening to praise and hearing in song how much God loves us always brings me to tears. I'm embarrassed sometimes to read my Bible in front of my husband, because I start crying sometimes. When I think of the awesomness of God, and the ever-present love He gives to us, all i want to do is throw myself at His feet and cry, telling him how much I love Him and thank Him. Sometimes I cry because Jesus had to die because I'm too selfish to just follow what God wants for me.

God is love, and love is a POWERFUL feeling. There is nothing wrong with crying when you feel something so powerful as perfect love. Sure, it's a litte wierd when you start sobbing at a stoplight singing along to your favorite praise songs...but...think how happy it makes Him when He sees you moved like that. He doesn't want us to be lukewarm for Him, he wants us to be burning for him inside. :) Sounds like you've got that covered!

Thanks Harley, I am more comfortable now with the weeping. Knowing others have experianced this has been a comfort.
Also helps me know Im not nuts. Although my family might argue that just for the fun of it.
