What would people think if they knew there was a land where poverty was illegal, and widows, orphans and sojourners we4re taken care of?

The King of that land is God, and according to His laws this was the way the people were to live.

This is how Israel was supposed to have been, and they did come close to making it a reality on earth, but, I do not think this land was truly intended to exist in an age allied to corruption, no, I believe this land is the one to come. No, I know it is.

God bless all of good will, and we will be together rejoicing in our King forever in that land to come,amen.

Matt.24:32Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; 33so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door. 34"Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.…

Forgive my ambiguity in the OP about poverty being illegal. It was illegal for those with means to allow their brother to be poor.

Does 2 plus 2 equal 4 anymore. Is it illegal for the self appointed leaders to take 10 percent from the widows SS check to fatten their lifestyles.

What does that have to do with the thread? My friend you cannot keep derailing threads with your issue that you have with the church you went to its annoying and rude, if you do not let go of this thing it will consume your mind and heart and take your focus off God himself. Isnt that what we should be basing our life and views and love on not our problems and such?

I decided to explore Judaism in books as much as I could to see if any of it worked. A woman wrote that she tried to insert it into our culture and boy, it didn't work at all. Some communities who tried it made it work wonderfully, except the ones who used it as a judgment of their fellows--I sort of I'm better than YOU are sort of test.

But amazingly It has worked. There are communities using it today with wonderful results for some---others only join because they have to and then it doesn't work.

In a study of Judaism in the middle ages, I found that it was the only saving factor in a period of deep darkness and sin. I think histories of Judaism in that period should be a must for all Christians, especially for those "Christians" against anything the Lord wrote in scripture and translators said was law. They could keep all their thoughts against law, and still read how it worked without letting it budge those decisions against it, just know better what they are so against.

NOT FANTASY LAND

Isaiah 65:16-25 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.
For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

There is a direct connection to justice and judgement in the post about the 10% above. Jesus Christ will return with both, justice and judgment in His Hand.

What does that have to do with the thread? Amazing!! I didn't see this thread before. I just started another thread (Possessing our salvation) with the same thing in mind. God works in mysterious ways for sure.

No divisions? Does that include the upper class self appointed few, the titled clerics, and the lower unwashed masses, the laity? Check Nicolaitan.
If we followed scriptures for our gatherings, the poor would have their needs met instead of being robbed as they are now.

This is for you JaumeJ When We All Get To Heaven

Sing the wondrous love of Jesus,
Sing His mercy and His grace;
In the mansions bright and blessed
He’ll prepare for us a place.

Refrain:
When we all get to heaven,
What a day of rejoicing that will be!
When we all see Jesus,
We’ll sing and shout the victory!

While we walk the pilgrim pathway,
Clouds will overspread the sky;
But when trav’ling days are over,
Not a shadow, not a sigh.

Refrain

Let us then be true and faithful,
Trusting, serving every day;
Just one glimpse of Him in glory
Will the toils of life repay.

Refrain

Onward to the prize before us!
Soon His beauty we’ll behold;
Soon the pearly gates will open;
We shall tread the streets of gold.

Refrain

It does aggravate me a lot when some people have so much and do nothing to help out anybody else. I was amazed at how donations for organizations dropped where I live because they were no longer tax deductible. If you have it to donate you can afford to give it without looking back.

that was uncalled for.... she was merely saying if you have the money or the ability to help others like the poor or the needy or cc for instance and it will barely even make you lose anything then why don't we give? anyone who gives with the heart of God could care less about a tax break, if I had money and I was able to give and my mom didnt take all my money to begin with I would be giving to cc and to anyone who i know needs it more than me. If it were my choice I would be helping the homeless and giving to the needy and the poor expecting nothing in return because they are the ones who are in need of our help and need to be blessed not the other way around.

I wonder how many here have a commitment to God to spend any portion of his/her income to those in need! I see a lot of talk the talk, but very little walk the walk when it comes to those in need.
