Just Stoooop it!! I seriously want the 10 minutes of my life back spent reading stuff from a guy who's sole intent is NOT to understand Scripture, but to try and snare young and new Christians to watch his buffoonery and become confused.

So now you COMPLETELY changed up your story and you now are saying the angel was a "theophany", which you define as God here on earth. Are you saying that God the Father was physically here on earth in Ex 24:9-12? Spell out exactly what you're saying.

Where did I completely change story?

Also, you didn't answer this - is Gen 31:11-13 greater than John 1:1? Why or why not?

You say that the bible doesn't give an exact answer to who the angel who is called God is, but it does. The following 2 verses "mirror" each other and speak on the same exact event...

1 Chron 21:1,
SATAN incited David to number the people.

2 Sam 24:1,
JEHOVAH incited David to number the people.

So yes, it did bother me when I saw Wayne say this in the video. How can it not bother me. In the same bible that says that there is an angel of God who is God, it also says that Satan is God the Father. How am I supposed to not be troubled by that?

God allowing satan to incite David to number the people does not equate satan with God.

Gen 31:11-13 Genesis 31:11-13 And the angel of God spake unto me in a dream, saying, Jacob: And I said, Here am I.
And he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see, all the rams which leap upon the cattle are ringstraked, speckled, and grisled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee.
I am the God of Beth-el, where thou anointedst the pillar, and where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy kindred.

What does that have to do with John 1:1? John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Which is greater? It's all God's Word. Jn. 1:1 reveals more of Christ.

Please stick to one question at a time...I am not a multi tasker, besides I gave you 5 answers previously with only a criticism from you in return.

I think the person who posted the video is the man in the video. He seems to defend the video content rather than actually seeking "help" for his shaken faith.

peaceand - whatever the case may be, it is very wrong to put "HELP!" in the title of a thread and say anything remotely like, "now I find my faith in jeopardy for the first time in my life" when it's not the case.
That's deceiving & trickery. It's a cruel and manipulative maneuver to get others to do what you want them to do.
Deceiving is lying and all the more dangerous to yourself when you do it in His Name to the Body of Christ/His Body.
Do you really want to be known as peaceandlies? I pray not.

Well, I wasn't going to post anything on this thread...hoping it would pass on into no longer read territory, but since it's at the top of the list again...

I forced myself to listen to video up to the point where "Wayne" refers to God as "a lying jack***"!

If that were the case, then we would all be in a lot of trouble and would be wasting our time reading the Bible.

I think this verse may lend some explanation to Wayne's conclusion"

So help me with this then - John 1:1 says Jesus is God but doesn't have Jesus quoted as calling himself the exact term God, Genesis talks about someone other than Jesus, an angel, & not only declares the angel to be God but has the angel declare it about himself. Here are 5 questions.

1. Is Genesis 31:11-13 greater than John 1:1? Why or why not?

2. You say the angel saying he himself is God is not a true statement & should be taken as some kind of joke, well that angel even calls himself God again in Ex 3:2-6. Not only that, but he is worshiped in those verses. Is that angel being worshiped in Ex 3:2-6 & Josh 5:13-15 a joke as well? Were Moses and Joshua mistaken in worshiping that angel?

3. Jesus said "I am only a representative", the angel said "I am God" - how can anyone who considers Jesus to be more than just a representative & to be God himself, at the same time make the angel only a representative and not God? How does that work out?

4. Who physically stood on Mount Sinai and is called "the God of Israel" in Ex 24:9-12?

5. 1 Chronicles 21:1 and 2 Samuel 24:1 speak of the same exact event and declare Satan to be God the Father. Why doesn't that concern you since those two verses come in the same bible which declares an angel of God actually is the God as in Gen 31:11-13?

Before I tackle these questions, if there is one fact the Bible makes 100% clear about, it is that Jesus is God. In fact, not that you will look at it, but here are 160 reasons that says Jesus is God...

For there are distinctions between the Godhead (I.e. the Trinity).

You basically said "That whole thing is stupid, what a joke!", and trust me that is much easier than fighting it head on. But if you actually sit down and try to go against every point in the video, it becomes a very difficult and impossible thing to do. That's what I asked for from the 2 deacons, and they came up short. And no, they weren't Osteen, it's just that the video is difficult.

For example, do you think abortion is wrong? So do I. But Wayne said that God the Father ordered that all the babies in Jericho be aborted with a metal sword. I knew the Old Testament had some violent parts, but I never went into detail until I watched the video. He said "Even parents who didn't want their babies to be aborted had their babies aborted with a sword in front of them by God the Father's command". I don't know how to argue that. How is that not wrong? I don't know. Can you engage that point or the other 100 points in the video? Please do it here and help me out.

The video is not difficult for people with solid Biblical and theological knowledge, its easy to debunk which has been proven already with numerous replies. The issue over God killing everyone is something an atheist says, not a Christian.
