I don't want to hijack this thread but you've mistaken as to what Christ had to say on the matter. I have a "Rature= false teaching" thread where you can come post scripture in a respectful manner and we can go over as to what the word has to say about it if you believe I'm mistaken. I also have presented a challenge to all rapurists.

It said nothing about pre-trib and I have addressed the first 20 verses in the other thread and they only back our gathering together unto Him after the great tribulation. So to say I just dismissed them to give light to my own veiw is quite the assumption. Like I said I don't want to hijack this thread. (too late? LoL) Thats quite funny though, a rapurist accusing someone of taking out a verse here and there to make their point. LoL

Another error is to think anti-christ is a human being. It's satan cast down to earth in his spirtual body. Does it in no way give one a right to go party for those days approach my friend. We shall be changed in the twinkling of an eye when those things have been fulfilled. I don't have time right now but we can address all those things.

I think the significance of our generation is that as far as I know, nowhere in history has it been that all or most religions of the world are expecting their prophet/messiah/savior to appear soon and this is why so many will be deceived before OUR Saviour Jesus Christ returns by Satan..what an opportunity for him!

Whenever you believe the parousia occurs or whether or not you believe in a "taking up", I think these things are essential:
1. That we remain watchful, knowing that many devout believers will be decieved.
2. That we remain hopeful, looking forward to His return.
3. That we do what we ought to in proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ to every nation, hastening His return.

How's this for speculation: 666 times three is 1998. If you take into account that Jesus was actually born in 2 or 3 BC that's 1995 or 1996. Now Jesus was 30-32 years old when he died, so that's 2025-2028. Now if the AntiChrist was born 1,998 years after Christ and if he will have his fatal wound delivered 1,998 years after Christ, that would "fix" the time of his death. Now, if that happens in the middle of the Great Tribulation, that means we subtract 3-and-a-half years and we get 2021-2025 as the start to the Great Tribulation and 2028-2032 as the beginning of the Millenium. I'm thinking of writing a book and making alot of money, not that it will matter since it's all over soon anyway, but I might as well go out in style. lol.
