...simply read a little about every leader we have had...
And you'll find some of them had trouble keeping their trousers (or "pants" in the US) on! :p

If people are complaining about the leaders we have now, what would they have done when their leaders were feeding christians to lions thousands of years ago? Lol
that is exactly the circumstance under which the apostles wrote that we insofar as it does not contradict the law of God, should obey the governing authorities, that they are appointed by God, and that we should pray for them, that we might live in peace, and to do good to those that persecute us.

you would get the impression from certain people today that Obama is worse than Nero!
that our neighbors living in sin is tantamount to harder persecution than the martyrs!

Obama is dangerous to our country because he is solidifying Gods judgement on us. Killing the unborn and making sodomy sacred with do nothing for our nation being blessed and prospering.

Each individual who does not believe in Jesus are already condemned and solidifying their own judgement.

Your statement couldn't be more true but God also deals with nations collectively as well

Revelation 21:24
And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.

God simply gives nations the leaders that the nation deserves. God can and will put evil men in power to bring about his end plan. Too many people turning away from God? YES! the nation will fall, that fall beginning with the man in power.
Sometimes He gives us what we deserve good and hard.

Well said.

Heb 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
Heb 11:14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
Heb 11:15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
Heb 11:16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

THY KINGDOM COME!

Here in the United States Barack Obama was appointed by God to be our leader. I am not sure why He did so but it is the truth.
Yes, and God had appointed Ronald Reagan, and the two George Bush, and even Richard Nixon. Even Saul was appointed to be a King over the descendants of Israel.

1 Samuel 8:6-8 6 But when they said, “Give us a king to lead us,” this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the Lord. 7 And the Lord told him: “Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king. 8 As they have done from the day I brought them up out of Egypt until this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are doing to you. 9 Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will claim as his rights.”

10 Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking him for a king. 11 He said, “This is what the king who will reign over you will claim as his rights: He will take your sons and make them serve with his chariots and horses, and they will run in front of his chariots. 12 Some he will assign to be commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and others to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and still others to make weapons of war and equipment for his chariots. 13 He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. 14 He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants. 15 He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to his officials and attendants. 16 Your male and female servants and the best of your cattle and donkeys he will take for his own use. 17 He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves. 18 When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.”

Kind of ironic that in 2008 Obama said he supported traditional marriage and also that one of his possible successors, Hilary Clinton, in the past said the same thing. I would bet she doesn't say that now though as they are just politicians who go where the political wind is blowing.

Republicans are not any better though as even though they talk a good game about being against abortion not many of them have ever put forward a piece of legislation opposing it.

Also, Republican George W Bush didn't take a stand for Christ when he gave a lukewarm response in an interview when he said that Muslims worship the same God that Christians worship. I really think that politicians just say what they think people want to hear George Bush says that Christians and Muslims worship the same God (Jesus answers this in John 14:6) - YouTube
I don't recall Bush saying that but he was dead wrong to say it.We do not worship the same God.And I believe you are right, that most politicians say whatever they can to get elected.Still the republicans are more aligned with what I believe on abortion and gay marriage.Democrats want to further these things and republicans dont.I wouldnt vote for one who wasn't against abortion and gay marriage.

They are politicians and their lips are moving.

This is why Christ admonished us to pray daily. What was the first thing He instructed us to ask for?

Mat 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Mat 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

I wish more true Christians would run for election.I do like Gov Huckabee who is strong against the same things I am.I think republicans have tried to comprise more and more and no one is voting for them. They need to listen and hear what the people want.

It's all politics for sure. Whatever it takes to get money and get re-elected. Oh ya, and be able to vote for their own wages that are paid for by those they are not representing. Some are still trying to do right but they are becoming smaller in number as the years pass.

What caused this corruption was the ministry that abolishes good behavior defined in the Biblical law, and replacing it with a greasy grace that effects the family and children of the next generation. That false grace effects the community, the county, and ultimately the state. Then the Feds intervene and make carnal laws because society doesn't know how to govern themselves any longer even though it was never intended that the Feds were to be involved with social programs and problems. This deterioration of any society begins with a rejection of vital instructions from God. The law is for the lawless, but if the church preaches against the law that it is abolished, then chaos reigns and we have leaders that God puts into power for us to realize we have totally messed it all up. Ministers are continuing to preach against God's laws that define correct personal loving responsibility. Then according to a canal description of how God's love is supposed to be administered, laws are made and exacted in an ungodly chaotic community that protect the criminal more than the victim. Down we go.

The downfall of every nation begins with making God in their own image. If we are judged righteously and we see all this stuff that is wrong, why can't we seem to wake up and find where the problem began? Maybe it's because we demand a type of grace that abolishes the law of God. Ya think?

We should pray for our leaders without doubt. God raises up kings and brings them down. God also gives a nation a leader that they deserve. I believe our current leader is a reflection of our evil hearts.
Yes, according to 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
[SUP]2 [/SUP] For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

In the context of how all governments worked, that was about the only voice of the governed, seeking intervention from God. Ordinary citizens didn't have opportunity to speak with kings, or circulate petitions to change laws.

In America we are blessed with the right to vote, but before that challenge leaders in power, and candidates seeking elected office, and support the ones we choose. I can call people on the phone, set out campaign signs, and all sorts of tasks to help the process.

I will not pray that any leader in government is successful in what is right in his/her own eyes. We are praying that God who gave man governments will bless those that are righteous, allow curses from Satan upon those working against righteousness of Christ. That is how I look at praying "for" leaders, asking God to intervene protecting the governed, and guarding the righteous leaders. Paul carried out that plan on the man in 1 Cor 5, and it is for the Church to do so when needed.

As for our President, he reflects the evil of his supporters that were willing to let America go to the dogs and take whatever nation that rose up, in the name of "change" of any brand. Many of us worked hard to correct the misconceptions of youths and adults up to about age 30 that have been corrupted towards the concept of freedom/liberty. We didn't recognize their problem or respond in time. Now after the great damage is done it appears many of those realize their error, but lack wisdom to know what to do next. People like that seem to tend to run in circles all their lives. It's like trying to get the attention of your dog that is busy chasing it's own tail.

Pray that God will find enough righteous in America to fix our nation, neutralizing the corrupted voters' ability to repeat their awful deeds of raw ignorance in the voting booths.

Matthew 10:33 But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.

34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn

“‘a man against his father,
a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—

I know that being forgiving toward someone that doesn't deserve to be forgiven isn't going to perfect the situation; but never the less, I was once an undeserving soul. But if I doesn't show mercy at all, I believe that God will take back His mercy and send me to the jailer until I had repaid back what I had owed. Isn't the wages of sin is death, then how can I repay what is eternal? I guess that I will be lock up forever...

Israel rarely deserved good kings and decades of peace with enemies like under David, Solomon, and a few others. Had God always given them the leaders they deserved, Israel would have dissolved within 2 centuries. Battles are fought in the heavenlies that parallel what men are experiencing on earth. Read Daniel. Also,
Ephesians 6:12 (KJV) [SUP]12 [/SUP] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

America is still blessed of God enough to stand as a "wrestler" for the world to keep open the mission to preach the gospel of Christ to them. Without us there is no doubt Islam would take the whole world by bloody sword and WMDs. No other nation is free enough to free slaves of Satan, or to prevent slavery to the wicked. If we got the leaders we deserve, we would all be converts to Islam, already, or we would be taxed of all our wealth, or enslaved, or dead. A President might salute the flag of Islam over the White House to preserve his own family, but not Congress. They can remove him and that flag speedily if needed.

We of America deserve nothing. We receive blessing from God by His grace extending unearned mercy through our faith in Jesus Christ. I rid my mind of surrender by contemplating the idea of having evil rulership. Our government was established with God at the top inspiring men to create the greatest free nation in the history of Earth. God gave us authority to exercise our democratic republic under guidance of the Bible and the Holy Spirit. Take part. Learn what the issues are, compare them to what God has said, then vote accordingly. If we all do that we will experience untold national blessings.

This country was founded on the bible and blessed by God like no other.

But we forgot who gave us new wine and fruit of the land and turned our backs.

God is now taking away blessings and replacing it with curses.

obama is just a tool , this country is not a first world power anymore,

and race wars and distruction from within will kill many before our enemys do.

I pray for the day that Rock smashes this worlds kingdoms for good.
