She is sad
she is afraid
she wants to escape
left in darkness locked away with her pain
She is alone in her tunnel, its a quiet place
No one to talk to, no one to run to
She is kept in like a safe
She is without light, only darkness within,
Begging God not to remember her sins
Left feeling hopeless she try desperately to awaken her faith
Jesus, help me you're the only one; she screams
rushing to the ground, to pray on her knees
Here my cry, You said I shall live and not die
Her hands joined tightly as she wept
Crying for her deliverance as she held a book to her chest
It was her bible the only weapon she had to endure her survival
Jesus said " come to me, I have heard your cry"
The woman began to wipe the tears from her eyes
As she raised astonished by the voice
Jesus, Jesus is that you? who has spoken to my heart and made it new"
" I am here with you always" the whisper spoke again
The woman felt comfort, and peace dwell in her presence
"Because you have believed in me in your darkest hour, I have lifted you up and you set you free"
The woman felt reassurance and love, she felt her heart speak
She began to thank him , " Thank you lord hallelujah to your name
I love you, I love you, praise your name thank you for your mercy and kindness"
The woman who hid in darkness began to believe again
She had hope and joy, she saw her life in Jesus hands
She closed the doors to her past and went away from her tunnel
The woman who almost cried herself into doubt, Gained life through her troubles
