Why are there so many people that discus the Bible in the forum, but I cant find anyone doing that in the chat rooms ?

I visit the chat rooms wanting to talk about Bible scriptures, and cant seem to find anyone like minded; wanting to closely read scriptures with me. Is this common for this chat site ?

I don't have a problem with typing, but some days I rather talk.

Have you tried the Bible Study chat room? Or the Simple Bible chat room?

When I first joined this chat there were many arguments in the chat rooms. I think people got so burnt out arguing that discussion about Biblical principles was more of a burden than edification. Now most Biblical discussions are on the threads in the forum but there has also been so much arguing over grace versus law, the new and old being totally separate, and being led by the Spirit instead of rightly dividing the Word, and it goes on and on. It appears to me that this has caused a Spiritual stalemate that has no growth in understanding any more than what has already been predetermined. Anything presented that might give a greater Spiritual insight will usually cause an argument. It appears that this chat caters more toward the division of God's word than putting the truth together as God has delivered it since the beginning, and seeing Christ Jesus in all of the Word rather then part of the Word. I wish you the best.

If you care to PM we can discuss things that are on you mind. :)

...and unfortunately this is a reflection of the body of Christ in the USA. I shutter the thought of how God will purge our impurities. :( Churches are closing at an alarmimg rate in this country, but then I digress

Luke 18:7-9
7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:

see this. The controversy begins in full swing on page 2

There are people there, in the prayer rooms, and in the simple bible room. They are there, spiritof Elijah usually is in the prayer room, talking, and sometimes it gets carried over into the simple bible room. The bible study room is available also.

The problem is that we are a collection of different Christians from different denominations, sects, and faith tradition that no one can agree on a mediator.

Though i would suggest SimpleBible, its a good chat room for more in depth study on the Scriptures themselves rather than the Biblical Arguments over Doctrine that is the BibleStudy room.

I'm curious, what do they say when you try to engage in talking on the Bible? Or when you say 'like minded', do you mean ones with the same doctrinal persuasion?

haha never got to that point. But its okay, I met this really great woman on here. shes into talking and bible study for hours an hours . I get to share all i want with this person. I'm good. I just wish she was around more often. She doesn't get offended, so this allows the conversation to just continue for the most part uninterrupted ; covering a lot of ground in scriptures.

From my experience the so called "Study" room is more like "I will force my views and agenda on you" room. On the short time I used the chat rooms I never heard anything remotely like a proper constructive study, just argument and finger pointing.

That's what makes the site interesting even though it certainly isn't God's will.
