In the society that I live here in Jamaicak, gays have a toleration level that is secretive and constantly they have to be mindful of their behavior, approach of people and day to day goings.
In my opinion, I am against it, as that is stated in the bible.
Will further comment on the issue more. gotta go.

Homosexual are HURTING PEOPLE...whether they know and understand that or not. You need to treat them with kindness and love. You don't need to approve of their chose lifestyle, but you DO need to show compassion and PRAY FOR THEM that they would be set free in Christ.

I don't understand the obsession of modern Christianity in so thoroughly singling out this specific sin and being hateful towards them.

I think one of the reasons we single it out the most i because it's a sin that most people who possess it are actually proud of. Also, since in most cases it's a lifestyle instead of a singular act, the person begins to identify themselves as their sin (example, introducing themselves saying I AM gay, not I commit acts of homosexuality). How many people do you know of cry out for equal rights for thieves, or liars, or murderers, or adulterers, rapists, alcoholics, or proud, arrogant people? How many people shake your hand and tell you Hi, I'm Joe, and I'm an adulterer! I think since acts of sexual perversion are so personal, so deep, and taint such a wonderful gift God gave us, it's one that Satan really focuses on. I mean, most sins hurt other people (killing, lying, stealing, etc) wheras a sexual sin is sort of hurting yourself.

Homosexuality is wrong, plain and simple, but so is telling "little white lies", indulging in too many junk foods, and obessing over your favorite movie star or music idol. I think homosexuals do deserve equal treatment, because they are just like each and every single one of us who sin. They need to know what they are doing isn't something they are born with, it's an urge they choose to accept and partake in, but they need to know they are loved, and supported, and cared for just like anybody else.

DIE HOMO DIE isn't going to get you the same response as hugging someone you know is gay and telling them, look, I love you, God loves you, let's sit down and talk about where things went wrong and how we can work on fixing them.

I think that's one reason. I also think people point them out is because its a sin that not everyone struggles with. Someone wouldn't point out people who lie because ALL people lie. Its too convicting. However, "in the closet" gays would point out homosexuals, with bigotry, to hide their own feelings of homosexuality.

I think another reason is that sociaty is forcing us to accept homosexuality as a normal act. Attacking any that appose it.
Also it is being taught in our schools as normal causeing alot of the young to become even more confused.
For all the promotion of the right to choose ,the voice of the apposer is treated as criminal.
With every request by the homosexual comunity another sin is turned into an approved act for sociaty.
I have never seen any indivigual gay person as less, only have believed that sin is sin in any circomstance.
But with this we are being forced to approve of what is wrong.
Also the implications and affects of this sin is far reaching and destructive.
There are many other sins that have this same effect, but this one attacks the very core of what the family represents.
Sometimes the threat is another sin causer for both views.

Some really good answers to an increasingly complex subject. I know some homosexuals and I have to say that if I were to scream in their faces how sinful they are then I would just give them a reason to hate me and to hate God. I think Jesus wants us to love them like any other sinner and maybe the light of His love through us will convict them. And, if it does we must be ready to give a reason for the hope and love we are showing. Jesus, be our guiding light! Shine brightly people....

I think the part that breaks my heart so is the lie that because one does not give aproval of homosexuality that they hate the person.
I can no more aprove of this sin nor any other. To do so would be to mislead that person . Because of Our Lord Jesus I have to witness to the truth. To do otherwise would be to possably condemn. But even though I cannot aprove it does not say that the love I know through Jesus is not in my heart for any sinner. The compassion and love that I have recieved from Our Lord God is beyond mesure.
The falsehood that because you do not approve means you hate is one that satan tries to promote, simply because if any sinner were to see that love, compassion and forgiveness in the eyes of those that live for Jesus, they would see his grace and consider their faith.
I often see this love of Our Lord Jesus for every one. It is a love so great that it would cause all to drop to their knees in faith.
I wonder at this, because it is only a glimce. One has to be in awe of the greatness of the Love of Our Lord Jesus, Our Father in heaven, his Holy Spirit, if what we know is seen through the glass darkly, a glimce.
One can only go forward in faith and hope that satan will run from the truth.
And see the Love Of Our Lord Jesus.

Jesus came to set people free. Pray for people. Gay people are people and Gods loves them just as much as anyone else. We are not to judge and condemn people. We are to be kind and love people. You are not to hate a person because of their sin. God will judge you over this.
