James 4:17
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

So to him that knows what is good (righteousness)and instead doesn't do it... It's sin

James 1:14
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

In this, I'm perfect, as Jesus wants me to be, thoughts?

If anyone believes they are perfect and are no longer sinners then they don't really need Jesus anymore do they? Its like saying Oh thanks for what you did for me Jesus but since you made me perfect and I am now without sin I don't really need you persay.
If any person believes they no longer sin then the truth is not in them and I hate to break it to all those perfectionist out there but if you sin even once you are a sinner and are not perfect its not hard to figure out

Jesus is the Word, the way, the truth, the life.

One could not operate without abiding in Jesus Christ for Jesus Christ is the essence of life itself.

The notion that "one would not need Jesus because they have been redeemed from the service of sin" is a misnomer in the same way that "one would not need to eat because they are healthy."

The real issue here is that people repudiate heart purity in salvation. Go through every response to my posts regarding heart purity and I bet you cannot find a single one in which an individual addresses the issue. People ignore it completely.

Heart purity is the elephant in the living room which people purposefully choose to ignore.

1Ti 1:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
1Ti 1:6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;

Sin is defined as anything that transgresses God's will - the result of which is death.

Anything that separates us from God plus sin is transgression of the law.

Sin means to miss the mark...it means to fall short of the standard set by God and to not measure up to his holiness....John stated clearly that if we say that we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us............

This depends on your view of the Gospel.

have all sinned? yes so all need the cross.

but the question here is does a person who does not sin still need Jesus? the answer Yes.

This is understood when one understands the fact that it is by Jesus constant power that one can stop sinning. take that away the person will sin. Thus the constant need for Jesus in the life.

If you sin even once then repent and because of Jesus we are clean and no longer is that sin accredited to us. So if you are forgiven and clean and you through the abiding power of Jesus do not sin then you are no longer a sinner. you are a new creature, born again.

the point of this post was not to prove my position but rather show that it is illogical to assume that a person who does not sin does not need Jesus. This would only be true if a person could not sin without Jesus which is not possible as Jesus said without me you can do nothing. But If Christ is in you then you can not sin.

law, decrees, was given to , what we call jewish people, break any of these, and it was call sin.
the new covenant changed more via believe in, all fall short, and god loves you, like a child, that can come to him regardless of sin.

Romans 8: Life in the Spirit
1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.2 For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.3 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spiri

24 So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith.25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian,26 for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.
Galatians 3: By Faith, or by Works of the Law?
the law was a guardian to jesus came. now that jesus has came , he is the guardian. to both jews and gentiles.
after faith are you guided by law, or a father ie in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.
the difference between jews and gentiles is now they need to believe in jesus.

16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. john 3.

Whatever is not of faith is sin. Some things might not cause me to sin but might cause you to sin,but since me doing those things may cause you to sin and i Know that CHRIST died for me and you then i won't do those things that cause you to sin for your sake.

old and new covenants , connect past to present at that time frame. ie (jesus life to after his death to being back in heaven) what law saved you.

I was just quoting scripture about what sin is
could you expound a little more so i am sure about what you mean because wheather its old testament or new testament, faith pleases GOD.

Romans 14:23
king james version(kjv)

23.)And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

Okay good point even if one could not sin they would still need Jesus, however even if repenting cleans us we are still sinners because we will sin again its unfortunately in our human nature and thus we can never be perfect or without sin.
In fact because of the fact we can never be perfect we always strive to do better

Even being perfect, we will always need Jesus, there will always be another battle, as long as satan roams the earth, we will always need him, and since he saved me, I will always worship Him, He is the King of Kings, and deserves such treatment, to be worshiped always...

What people aren't understanding it's not that we follow the law to get to heaven, it's because of faith and grace, that we are saved, therefore will naturally follow the law, so it's not that we are trying to keep the law to get to heaven, it's that we broke the law, but through grace were saved, and transformed, once transformed with " Holy Spirit " you keep the law by default, by He who lives in us.
