2 Timothy 4:1-8 " I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing."

Read that over a couple of times and dwell on it. The word. What word? Benny Hinn? Joyce Meyer? God's word and His alone. Not adding to it or taking away from it. Nor accepting when another does it. The gospel truth, which is the only way we obtain salvation.

Are you going to love His appearing? Or run for the hills and hope rocks fall on you to cover you?

"I have fought a good fight" Paul said, "I have kept the faith".

Paul tormented Christians. How can he say that? From the moment the light of truth shone on him he toiled to be obedient. Wasn't easy, for him, was it? He "died daily" he said. Said he had a "thorn in the flesh", a "messenger of satan" to buffet him.

Nothing is more important to me than knowing, understanding, and defending that word that Paul lived and died to spread. That word that was so important that Christ was made it, brought it to us, and died so that we might benefit from it. Is there something more important to you? Have you ever created something? No. Making something from materials around you isn't creating. It is merely rearranging what God has already created.

Your children, your mother, your father, your siblings, your spouse...nothing is more important than God. You see, when it becomes that way, then you are worshiping the creature, or creation, more than the creator. That displease God, and if you displease Him, you cannot enter heaven. It's serious and important, friends. Your life, your choice. There's plenty of room in heaven, won't you please join me?

Thank you for sharing the word. It says rebuke. I did that and it didn't go well with the other. There's a bible verse that says, rebuke the wise, and they will love you, rebuke a fool, and he will take offense, or hate you. People came from a lot of different denominations. This is the big major problem. Each one is slightly different, and the word of the Lord is the same. One denomination teaches one way, another another way, and many don't see eye to eye, no less think alike, as the bible says, "being of one mind in Christ." The true essence and purity *of the word has been lost, the world has sunk in like muddy waters, clouding the purity and truth of the word. Those who were on fire once, are now having leaders in the churches of homosexual preachers, those who were not on fire as of*Pentecost, are now getting to see the light, so denominations don't work, never did, never will, the word of the Lord will, does, and*doesn't*burn out from it's holiness. Everything else is junk food.*

Okay were called to be lights, a light is not hid under a bushel but set on a hill top for all to see. Now I know what Jesus meant, when he said, if they slap you on one side of the face, turn the other cheek, and keep going.*
True, we preach the word, not only in word, but in deeds, our attitudes, our actions.
It is true, many shall fall away.
It is not hard to do, just give up, and die spiritually.
Go with the crowd, the straight and narrow is to hard, to endure
I think why Paul was called, because he was tough, as nails, and trained as a*soldier*already, our will is very important, he had a strong will to fight against believers,
and then fight for them.*
Some*believers*fight against other believers, like those chickens or dogs trained to fight who will win.
If you back bite one another you will be consumed by each other, just like the animals.
AT this time of year, we should be praying that those who are lost *would find their way home to the Father's house.

as well as many martyrs down through the centuries...

Women received back their dead by resurrection. Some were tortured, refusing to accept release, so that they might rise again to a better life. Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were killed with the sword. They went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, afflicted, mistreated—of whom the world was not worthy—wandering about in deserts and mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. And all these, though commended through their faith, did not receive what was promised, since God had provided something better for us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect.
(Heb 11:35-40)

When it says( come out from among them,) that's what it means. Leaving this like this, what ever it means to others. But that is a bible verse. There is strenght and love , unity, and blessing, and power of the HOly Spirit here, spats, and weeds, we need to pray this all out of the garden here, in love towards one another. So please keep me in prayer as I move.

WEll don't leave so soon Phil. I know there's plenty of room. Thought about Branches today. LIke bank branches in different towns. WE need to go to the Love Branch, and get the fruits started, the 9 of them. They hang on Love. Very important branch, you will be rich when you go there, and get your pockets full of seeds to plant them. :)

Sorry. There are times I say what I say and leave the endless circle of yapping. Some people(not talking about you) refuse to accept truth and at some point one must give up and move on, if for no other reason than to preserve ones sanity.:)
There are a lot of threads and posts I simply never go back and click on to read responses. Perhaps I shouldn't do that.

I just got on here and opened this thread. I have really enjoyed reading it, each post, which I think is unusual. There is always some post I don't like. A good way to start the day

They were going to throw Jesus off a cliff. He had to escape, get away, so He could fight another day. Retreat is essential at times. Let the gainsayers sling their slop. No point in debating with sausage.

Paul's main goal and job was spreading the gospel to the gentiles which is good news, and yes there were times when he had to rebuke a church that was leaning into some sort of sin, but Paul knew how to rebuke in love... can we say and claim to do the same?

1 Corinthians 13
The Way of Love
13 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
