Phil 1:6 "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ"

Who does God work in? Those that are obeying His commands/will. When God commands repent and be baptized for remission of sins (saved) in Acts 2:38 for example, then God is working in those that obey God's command. How can one claim God is working in him if he is NOT obeying God's will? How can one claim to be saved by NOT doing what God has said?

acts 2 about 32 ad, acts 10 and 15 around 48 ad . how many gentiles were at pentecost.
what law was the gentile to repeat of, and who gave a gentile the full law of moses.
time line so important to grace a gift,

Jesus said "Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you:...."
Jesus makes it so simple, "work" "labor" for the gift which He will "give" to us. Jesus makes it very clear, He commands us to put out a lot of effort for this "gift of eternal life" and Jesus is not mocking or joking; Jesus means exactly what He says. We see this paradox through out the whole Bible, it is a gift, because we are dead in our sins to The true GOD of the Bible. Just doing what will come naturally ,we would have killed Jesus like the crowd and Jewish leaders did: only those to whom GOD had given the gift of GRACE,(power and love) to enable sinners to repent, trust and obey, JESUS, sinners (we) will never come to the real salvation experience of transformation to sainthood (a holy person)and forgiveness of our sins through the blood of the LAMB of GOD. Please, lets just believe the Bible as it is written.
Salvation is the "gift " of GOD; BUT we have to "work" for it. Love to all Hoffco

Don't you think that your argument really hinges on whether God works through you or you work for God? Think about it. I think that most of us are trying to tell you must be saved for God to work through you. Where there is no salvation, there can be no works of God.
How can you dare to MOCK God! You tie the hands of God. God is all MIGHTY! all WISE! all independent from His creation and above all things and not bound to any thing or anyone in HIS creation. GOD always does what HE wills . Love GOD and keep His commandments. and live. Love Hoffco

You don't gotta be saved for God to be able to work in or through you. We were ALL unsaved before we found him.. Hello! lol :) He worked his infinite wonders and we each made a decision to give our lives over to him. God can take the worst unsaved mess and turn it into a beautiful saved creation. :)

said who, work for what.

But we believe that we will be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus

1"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.1

28 For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law.29 Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also,30 since God is one---who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.Romans 3

10 Now, therefore, why are you putting God to the test by placing a yoke on the neck of the disciples that neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear?11 But we believe that we will be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they will."

paul a full law man , saying saved by believing in jesus christ. when did he say saved by works of law.

Matthew 11:30
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Jesus says that we are going to work onto perfection, but it isn't as hard as the ones before. Just imagine if the old laws were in effect today, the way people dress up today, everyone will be committing Adultery in their thoughts; but this time the Lord is going to show us why these laws were made, by putting us in these situations to show us what can happen if we violate them. Now we have to live in this mess that we created until we shout out to Abba Father for help.

Psalm 69:3-5
[SUP]3 [/SUP]I am worn out calling for help;
my throat is parched.
My eyes fail,
looking for my God.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Those who hate me without reason
outnumber the hairs of my head;
many are my enemies without cause,
those who seek to destroy me.
I am forced to restore
what I did not steal.

[SUP]5 [/SUP]You, God, know my folly;
my guilt is not hidden from you.

What if one has faith but no works that follow that faith. Can that faith only save him?
The bible says yes.

Is it true that scripture does not contradict scripture?
Maybe mans interpretation is the problem.

John 3:16

king james version(kjv)

16.) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

YES,! Paul said only those who love and keep the moral laws of God will be save; Rom.2:13 ONLY"the doers of the law will be justified" . You need to read he Bible carefully, for your own salvation, I will not waste my time giving pearls to swine. If you are not a "doer of the word" you are a swine and not a sheep.! Love ptr. Thought I should also say that if the faith is real and the persons remains alive in the flesh then they will do good work.

Noah had a faith that worked. Noah BUILT the ark by faith. If Noah had of simply "trusted" and claimed that he didn't have to do anything and just rested in his "trust" he would have drowned with the rest of the world.

Noah understood that faith works. Noah understood that faith is active. Noah understand that faith = faithfulness = obedience. Unbelief = disobedience = unfaithfulness.

Those who teach that obedience is not a condition of salvation are liars. They are teaching that you can rebel against God and not surely die which is what Satan taught way back in the beginning. We either serve God or we serve Satan. We either yield to God and serve righteousness or we yield to the devil and serve sin. Those are the two roads we can take and we cannot walk both at the same time. That is why we must...

Jas 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
Jas 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
BEFORE Noah was told to build the ark - BEFORE Norah built the ark - Noah believed God - i.e. fully believed, trusted and had confidence in God - what He did and what He said. Noah would not have been inclined to build the ark if he didn't at first believe what God told him.
The obedience came because Noah believed God.

Noah was told to build the ark - Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.

I wouldn't do something someone told me to do UNLESS I had faith in that person that he/she would not lead me wrong and that I could trust in the word he/she spoke to me.

your blindness is clear , when was a gentile save by law.
3 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.14 For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility15 by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace,16 and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.1

1 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified.2 Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith?3 Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?4 Did you suffer so many things in vain---if indeed it was in vain?5 Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith---6 just as Abraham "believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness"?
hearing with faith acts 10
16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
believe in who, and who saves you.
23 Now before faith came, we were held captive under the law, imprisoned until the coming faith would be revealed.24 So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith.25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian,26 for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.

29 And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise.

This statement is nonsense. This person has to throw reason out the window to conclude such a thing and must blatantly ignore the teachings of Jesus Christ.

another person who has not studied before he speaks. Why do you people do this. You make yourself look bad!

Romans 11:6
And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.

It can not be grace plus works. they cancel each other out, it has to be one or the other.

Faith is not a work. faith PRODUCES WORKS.

Your reason is not from God. Your reason is self centered, self focused, and rejects the grace of God

So you just made it IMPOSSIBLE for one to be saved by faith only. Works must accompany the faith else one does not have a "real" faith.
yet another one who has no logic.

If salvation is of faith. Then one who does not have faith is not saved.

If faith produces works. and faith saves, then the one who has true faith WILL WORK. (it is not a question of if.)

why are you so adament that you have to prove to God your faith is real? Is God confused and not knowing?

every religion on earth teaches works.. You would think they would see their gospel is no different than any other.
