There was a Thread called Regarding Bible Discussion Forum that was recently closed down where gripes were shared about this very forum.

But what about Christian Unity? Are we able to have Unity? Just What Can We Agree On?

I thought it would be an interesting thread with a possibility of some positive posts? Do you think we are able to do that? I am willing to find out....I'll go first.

Just What Can We Christians Agree On?

Salvation only through Jesus Christ......You are saved by grace and not of yourselves it is a Gift From God.

I think we can all agree that only through Jesus's blood that we are saved.

Please can we as Christians list things we can agree on........Go......and argue no more....be at peace and in love Unite...

Ephesians 4:1-6 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Romans 14:1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
Romans 14:2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
Romans 14:3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
Romans 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
Romans 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
Romans 14:6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
Romans 14:7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
Romans 14:8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
Romans 14:9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
Romans 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
Romans 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Romans 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
Romans 14:13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
Romans 14:14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
Romans 14:15 But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.
Romans 14:16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Romans 14:18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
Romans 14:19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
Romans 14:20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
Romans 14:21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
Romans 14:22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
Romans 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

I think we can agree that we are never alone...Psalms 23:4
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.:)

I certainly agree here is another nice passage on Jesus being with us.

Matthew 28:

19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

We will, when He come and take us Home with Him. As long as we still in the world, we are not perfect yet. as we get closer to the Lord, the more unite we are, because the closer we are to Him the more love we produce.
And if every body produce love, then we will be unite.

It doesn't mean we not remain our brother and sister if they make a wrong move, but we do it with love.

I believe we can all agree that in the beginning it was God who created all - regardless of the age of the earth.

Getting word out to those who have worked today that we have a Christian Unity thread if you would like to post here. Something you think we can all agree about.

Like God is Love - I think that we can all agree that God is a God of love when it comes to making a plan of salvation giving His Son Jesus to die for us sinners that we might live.

I also believe that we can all agree that we are sinners in need of a Savior.

This is a positive thread in the Bible Discussion Forum and I invite Christians to Unite and join us here.

I don't believe there will ever be 'Christian unity' because most have not read the Bible (OT & NT) with authority & power. It is not that difficult to read & understand if the time & effort are made. Instead, many will go to YouTube to find answers instead of researching the info with an open mind.

For example, Revelation is the last chapter in the NT and it is basically in chronological order with the exception of repeated chapters. And yet, many posters will 'badly' twist it to benefit them.

Just shocked to see many Christians can't analyze biblical facts & info.

Whether you believe it or not God calls us to be united and I believe that God will unite His people as evidenced by those who have positively posted here. I believe they believe in this unity also, would love to have you come on board with us and post something you believe we can all agree on.

Just from the post you have written here we all can agree that in the Bible there is an Old Testament and a New Testament I'm sure we can all agree on that. What say you in agreement? Come and join the unity we are finding in Christ Jesus.

Statistically speaking, I don't think we can assume the majority of people visiting a Christian website are born-again believers... and therefore, there can't possibly be "Christian unity" with a lot of people who aren't Christians.

I think expecting unity here is a VERY nice idea,
but it's an unrealistic expectation.
: )

(I think a room full of "born again" believers would still disagree on things... but we aren't anywhere near even discussing THAT dilemma. On a site like this we are probably way way below half.)
