In chat the other day someone played a video of conspiracy theory type stuff, and one of the things suggested in the video was that to say that the God Muslims believe in is the same as the God Christians believe in is terribly wrong and that it is not the same God.

What are your thoughts?

It struck me that, while two Christian denominations may be a thousand miles apart doctrinally, when they kneel down and pray, it's still the same God, isn't it?
In a similar way, when Jews pray, despite lacking knowledge and belief in Christ, they pray to God. Our God.

So what would suggest that when Muslims pray, they do NOT pray to God, but to something else? Even if their beliefs are... well I'll let you fill in that blank.

No if Muslim worship the same God of Christian than Muslim must confess that Jesus is God.

Muslim begin at 610 AC, After First Coming of Christ. If they worship God they must worship Jesus.

The Muslim god is transcendent, but not immanent. Jesus Christ is the presence of God on earth, both in his life time and through the Holy Spirit since the day of Pentecost.

Muslims do not believe in the incarnation, and that divides us from them. Instead, they have a distant God, with no assurance of salvation, even if they perform the 5 rituals or "pillars."

Sadly, they do believe in Jesus, or Isa, they even think he is coming again to rule and reign. But he is not God. So therefore, their god, Allah, is not the same as our triune God.

How wonderful that we have a friend in Jesus. And we can trust in his work on the cross, not our own!

Quite simply NO.....and down thru the ages men have prayed to many so called gods such as Apollo, Hades, Baal and even Zeus just to name a few....Jesus said to the church at Pergamos that he knew that they dwelt where Satan's seat was located....What was located at Pergamos? The Throne of Zeus.....point being...Satan has been worshipped down thru the ages by various names identified with so called (gods)....Allah being one of the many......Some will argue that it is just a generic Arabic name for God, but a study of what they believe and practice will reveal that their god is nothing like the one true God of the bible.........!

PS. I think the black stone or Kaaba is an idol. Muslims claim not to worship it, but they sure bow down to it by the millions. I think that is one definition of idol worship!

Apparently scientists think the stone is a meteorite. Shades of Ephesus, where the temple of Artemis also was started because of a meteorite that fell there.

Mohammed the false prophet picked Allah out of a pantheon of pagan gods for his god

Allah was the ancient pagan crescent moon god worshiped by the Assyrians and Babylonians

The fact is that Allah does not even exist and is an imaginary god just like all of the other pagan gods

Satan is the one who inspires men to worship false gods and the Muslims are actually worshiping the devil and do not know it .... Islam is Satan's monotheistic offset to both Judaism and Christianity

.... and Allah is merely a cover for Satan

Mohammed hijacked the Bible, corrupted it, and concocted the Bible look a like, the Koran

He claimed that the angel Gabriel gave him Islams holy book of the Koran

The Bible tells it was Daniel that Gabriel gave the truth to for his people of Israel

Islam teaches that God has no son and that Jesus did not die for the sins of the world

These falsehoods and many others of the Islamic creed are a direct contradiction to the truth revealed in the Bible

Paid a horrific price for it and God will give His chosen people a 'second chance' to accept His Son Jesus as Lord..

No, it is not. Jews and Christians even have closer links to each other than Muslims can have for either of them, even if there's similar practices. Jews believed everything up until Jesus (unless they're Messianic) and Christians if devout for both OT and NT just have their addition of Jesus. Muslims deny this and added some pedophilia, war-hungry and violent man that they praise most out of their whole book. The Quran even has verses condemning people that believe 'the Book' (Jews and Christians) and are supposed to hate both of them.

Oh, and they deny the crucifixion of Jesus and say that there's another person they misinterpreted to be Jesus who took his place for that.

True, Israel rejected the Lord and has paid the price

However, a believing remnant part of the nation is going to turn to their Messiah and King during the coming tribulation period just after this [Romans 11:25]

Here are the first of the believing remnant [Revelation 7:1-8; 14:1-7]

Yes and agree...Zechariah 12:10 and they will look upon him whom they have pierced and wail for him as one who has lost his first born son.....

Not just that, but pagan gods and goddesses are mostly drawn from ancestor worship, coupled with a corrupted view and splitting of the nature of our triune God. Some gods/goddesses are concepts, such as Chaos, but most aren't. Of course, behind all of these curtains, stands mankind worshipping mankind. The Enemy doesn't care what happens, as long as we're not worshipping the one true God.

I work in a school and some years back overheard a conversation about God's existence among a group of grade five boys, one of whom was Muslim. He told the others, "I don't believe in God, I believe in Allah." Take from that what you will.

I agree with this as well.....All the enemy has to do is divert humanities attention even if but a little bit away from the one true God....even but a percentage of a degree will cause one to miss the mark for sure......! True Satanism is the worship of self.....

I am going to remind every body that in this case we can see how Catholic different from Christianity. Some of our brother here believe that some catholic are save. Catholic declare worship the same god with Muslim, how we say they are save?

16. Finally, those who have not yet received the Gospel are related in various ways to the people of God.(18*) In the first place we must recall the people to whom the testament and the promises were given and from whom Christ was born according to the flesh.(125) On account of their fathers this people remains most dear to God, for God does not repent of the gifts He makes nor of the calls He issues.(126) But the plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator. In the first place amongst these there are the Muslims, who, professing to hold the faith of Abraham, along with us adore the one and merciful God, who on the last day will judge mankind.

Seriously? I don't give a flying fig what the Pope believes/allows/says. I care what Christ said/says.
