Okay, I just quickly read Revelation 12, but I didn’t see anything there that said angels have never sinned. Did I miss something?
Are you implying that God forgave 2/3 of the angels who sin and did not forgive 1/3 who sin ?

Only 1/3 of the angels sinned against the Lord [2 Peter 2:4; Jude 1:6; Revelation 12:4; 12:7-9]

The balance never rebelled against Him and will not

Jesus tells us in Matthew 4:17 that we are to repent. I’ve learned from experience that some people repent, while others whine.
Exactly how does your response answer my quest for scriptures that prove the point that I asked about!

People don't become angels because humans and angels are two different species.
But Mark 1:2 assigns the mission of an angel (that of messenger) to Saint John the Baptist. So, we could say that Saint John the Baptist was a man who strive to become like an angel (through the way he lived his life and through the calling that he had).

Yeah I know...The question was asked so as to bring out the fallacy of the statement made.....Humanity was made a little LOWER than the angels for the suffering of death.......:)

The angels are those who have repented of their sin. The archangels are those who lead the angels. Satan, what purpose is served in reviling those who have repented of their sin? Didn’t Jesus command us to repent (Matt 4:17)?

Matthew 4:17

(ASV) From that time began Jesus to preach, and to say, Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

(BBE) From that time Jesus went about preaching and saying, Let your hearts be turned from sin, for the kingdom of heaven is near.

(CEV) Then Jesus started preaching, "Turn back to God! The kingdom of heaven will soon be here."

(Darby) From that time began Jesus to preach and to say, Repent, for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn nigh.

(ESV) From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

(Geneva) From that time Iesus began to preach, and to say, Amende your liues: for the kingdome of heauen is at hand.

(KJV-1611) From that time Iesus began to preach, and to say, Repent, for the kingdome of heauen is at hand.

(MKJV) From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, Repent! For the kingdom of Heaven is at hand.

In these commonly used versions of the Bible, along with about 15 others that I access to, I can find no reference to Angels and/or Archangels in the entire context, or the scripture itself. I also searched 16 commentaries and could fine nothing to support your statement. Please cite your references.

Please cite the scriptures that lead you to believe that we become angels when we repent.

Thanks,
Billy

Being an angel means that you’ve stopped sinning, yes, but only Jesus has NEVER sinned.
Angels have never sinned. Demons on the other hand, have. They were at one time angels who followed Satan in his rebellion against God.

Scripture does not teach us to keep our hands off a hot stove, but we keep our hands off of a hot stove anyway. Are you trying to tell me people don’t whine?
