The angels are those who have repented of their sin. The archangels are those who lead the angels. Satan, what purpose is served in reviling those who have repented of their sin? Didn’t Jesus command us to repent (Matt 4:17)?

The Lord's angels that have remained loyal to Him have no sin

However, the one called Satan [a cherub of the highest order] rebelled against the Lord and managed to draw off 1/3 of the created angels to follow

These reprobate angels will never repent and they will all ultimately be destroyed

It's impolite to keep people waiting so long for the punch line.

I think the op is more focused on repentance than on angels and archangels.

Can fallen angels repent? I always thought they can't.

This may be true as the bible certainly indicates this but I find it sad nevertheless. If it were possible Satan should tell God that he is sorry and this whole drama that has been played during the ages could have a happy conclusion.

Brother Resurrection33, Are you referring to II Peter 2:11 where it says even the angels of God have the wisdom not to dialogue with or accuse demonic spirits?

Yes, but the story is already finished

The Lord forces an angel and a human to make a choice .... and for good reason

He wants no part of a one sided relationship

It must be mutual

This is His testing

Some people strive to become archangels, and that is what they will become. Other people whine.

I don’t know if I understand your question. When we allow ourselves to be governed by pride, we are allowing ourselves to be governed by Satan. Satan is very subtle, so we have to be very careful. My message to Satan was, in fact, a message to all who are being governed by their pride.

I hate to confess to ignorance, but can you give me the Scripture that says Satan was an archangel?

Even archangels are exposed to temptation. At any time, an archangel can yield to temptation and forfeit his, or her, status as an archangel.

I am at work and can’t go study the Scripture (something from out of the book of Jude?). I would say, though, that Satan wants to force us to worship him. None of us want that.
