The Lord God has spoken to me and I have listened, I do not rebel nor turn away"
"Because the Lord God helps me, I will not be dismayed; therefore, I have set my face like flint to do His will, and I know that I will triumph. " He who gives me justice is near. " Who will dare to fight against me now? Where are my enemies? Let them appear! " See, the Lord God is for me! Who shall declare me guilty? All my enemies shall be destroyed like old clothes eaten up by moths!" Isaiah 51: 5, 51: 7 - 9.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, what does it mean to pray continually? To me I find along with daily prayers, when a thought comes into my mind, I analyze if it is good or bad. If it is bad, I go to Our Lord Jesus and ask Him to take it away.

How many times before did I follow that bad thought to it's ultimate destructive conclusion? Far too many, with bitter results, until I realized that the practice of continual prayer (as I know it) could change my life.

We do not have to follow that thought of sin. We, though the Power of our Heavenly Father can stop it in it's tracks, and live the life God has planned for us.

I pray that each of us will be given the gift of overwhelming faith in Jesus, and wisdom to know and practice the awesome power of continual prayer.

May each and everyone of us know the joy of walking in the power of Jesus Christ, this I ask in His Holy Name, amen.

Have a wonderful day and life in Jesus

Yes, but never seem to catch up to Him!

Colossians 1:9-14 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.

As to praying continually? We're guilty of having other things to do and sleeping, probably not literal, anyway? In Acts 6 it speaks of praying continually, in terms of men who would be given over to exclusive Christian service. Whatever the case, maximum attention to God we are capable of is our reasonable service, to consider Him first in all things.

I know that praying has an all new meaning for me than in my past. when I first came upon these verses, I truly throught
that I was to be in praying mode 24/7, and believe me, this is something that just cannot be done in the way that
I thought it was.

as I have matured, our Father has shown me that my mind/heart does truly belong to Him, for my Spirit will always
show me if what I am about to say, do, my actions, etc. would be something that my Father would approve of.
instead of being what some would think would be a burden, it is the most blessed thing imaginable, for
there is absolutely nothing that could ever take the confidence and peace of this most amazing gift.

Just knowing that He is walking continually with me is a prayer in itself.

Amen Joidevive., having faith in Him to believe He continues with us at all times is a prayer of faith I believe pleases the Father very much. A sense of peace that passes all understanding.

Amen, I agree, we don't have to follow that thought of sin. We have the power of The Holy Spirit with us, and prayer to continually help us reject sin. I'm praying this for everyone as well, very nice post brother.
