I've seen here in the discussion forum many times the "judge not lest you be judged Scripture tossed about and taken out of context.It seems to be the new go to phrase for the tolerance generation who dont believe any other verse in the Bible just "judge not".But I've been surprised with Christians saying the same thing.You cant say homosexuality is wrong,or abortion,or the Muslim faith which seems to be one where the liberals scream intolerance when you say it is an evil "religion".So lets look deeper at judging vs correction in the Bible...
[h=1]Matthew 7:1-5 Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.[/h] Matthew is talking about hypocritical judging.Seeing your brothers sin but seeing yourself as perfect.Its talking about spiritual pride. But the Bible does not teach that we should never warn anyone of sin.
[h=1]Ephesians 5:11-12 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.
In James....Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and done convert him; 20 Let him know, that ehe which converteth the sinner from the error of his way fshall save ga soul from death, and hshall hide a multitude of sins.

I’ve spoken of non-judgmentalism mainly as an atheist view, but the language has been adopted by probably most Christians in our day. Without Christians able to identify the fallacies of anti-judgmentalism, atheists are allowed to advance their moral agenda and stop Christians from asserting theirs. The atheist shouts, "The Bible says do not judge," and the Christian is supposed to stop asserting the moral authority of God's word. Ephesians 6 lists the armor of God that Christians are commanded to put on. Every part is defensive except one offensive part, “the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (Eph. 6). It’s the sword of God’s word that “judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (Heb. 4:12). When Christians are deceived into non-judgmentalism, they have laid aside their only weapon to defeat the enemy. When Christians lay aside the authority of God’s word, in which we are given God’s standards for living and God’s solution to sin through Jesus Christ, the atheists avoid the power of the word of God to convict the heart of sin and to provide the blueprint to build God’s kingdom. Satan’s kingdom, by default, triumphs.
Who are you to judge? You know you will be asked that, and you may have already asked it to yourself. You are an ambassador for Christ (Eph. 6:20), that’s who! Revelation 1:5 says that Jesus Christ is “Ruler of the kings of the earth.” You are an ambassador of the King of the universe, the King of kings. It’s not your word that you bring. It’s God’s word. And no one can escape the judgment of God. And there is no other way of salvation than that which is given in God’s word. Those who say you shouldn’t judge will judge nonetheless. They ask “who are you to judge?” only to substitute the word of man for the word of God as the ultimate authority. But whether they like it or not, you have a duty to proclaim God’s word. As Paul says, it will be the savor of death to those who are perishing, but the savor of life to those who are being saved (2 Cor. 2:16-17). Judge Others. Jesus Said To.
