I know this will cause a huge war but I had to write my thoughts.
Sometimes like today I am overcome by an overwhelming desire to marry Jesus. In my heart I can see me in a wedding gown and Jesus and I have the most intimate love together. today this happened out of nowhere I just say a picture of jesus and a bride and bam I was overcome with the strongest desire to marry him and was brought to tears and said to him Lord will you be mine?

But I have an issue. The only way I can marry him is if I die or am taken in the rapture. I have had many rapture dreams and some of them it just happens out of nowhere others certain things happen first. It would be so wonderful if there was even a chance Jesus would come for us tonight, but I have the hardest time believing that the rapture is even close. The evidence is right before me mainly the blood moon tetrad but still no matter how much I want to believe I can't.

The word soon is often used in referring Jesus coming for his bride but soon is such a vague word. I know that it has to be in his time and we just need to be patient and most of the time I do this but when this type of thing happens I can't help myself.

Blain, I love you, brother and you obviously hunger for your Saviour and Lord and that's brilliant.

That said, the rapture isn't even a thing and the Bride of Christ is the Body as a whole, not any one individual. I find it interesting that you have no problem with the imagery of being in a wedding dress because as a guy it totally weirds me out. Love the belief about being part of the Body and being in full intimacy with Christ though.

The rapture is not going to happen based upon the blood moon tetrad. It just heralds the next world war, which you don't really need signs from heaven to see will happen soon. All you have to do is watch Muslim extremist and their play for world control via their influence in various governments including many in Europe.

As for the desire to marry Jesus: Jesus calls home many of His saints daily, whenever their work on this Earth is done.

He doesn't marry one person. He marries the Church which means we have to learn to function as part of a whole. We have to be living active members in His church to be part of His Bride.

I'd rather think of God as my Heavenly Father, since I already have an Earthly husband and there is no marriage in Heaven.

The dress part, I don't know why I see myself like that with him. I am not feminate as for as I know

This was a very thoughtful response and is one that I am agreement with.

Sorry. In no way do I consider you effeminate. Keep that hunger for Christ, it'll serve you well.

Well, it's true there is no human marriage (or angels - for the crazies) in Heaven but the ultimate marriage will be held there - that of Christ and His Bride. I'm looking forward to that feast!

Nah, you are one of us guys. OK, let's forget about the white dress and put on the full armor of God and become a warrior in the army of God. I understand your longing to be with the Lord but there is a war going on down here. Let's suit up and kick some...

Thank goodness that so far. Post have been more of humor and not war.
With the ways the laws are changing in the USA. You would not be breaking any worldly laws if you were able to marry Jesus.
You do have that going for you. ;)

This thought that some bring about being " intimate " which does have a description in the dictionary as being sexual as other things, or being a bride, lifting veils and kissing Jesus in the mouth and so fourth is quite disturbing. I see women say this stuff a lot, not so much men, all still disturbing nonetheless.

Yes, but here intimacy is about being in complete relationship with Christ, not about anything sexual.

I can understand it to a degree, I just have other choices of words to describe a personal, love filled relationship with Jesus. Intimacy is a personal preference of description. I'd rather just say a personal relationship, just my description I guess.

That's fine. Please just understand that many people have no hang-ups with that terminology.

I understand... until they start talking about getting in a dress, kissing, and having sexual relations with Jesus.

Who the heck talks/thinks like that? Me thinks you need to hang around with different Christians. I don't want to entertain such thoughts.

It was Christ and the Holy Spirit who said He is the Bridegroom and we the Bride. So, I agree with the OP, I wish and want to be married to Christ.

In Brainfreeze defense, I can see how this statement might make one question "Jesus and I have the most intimate love together" if Blain is referring to sexual relations or not.

I guess we would have to ask Blain to clarify?

Personally I typically have a G rating and did not go there, but I after rereading I do wonder what you mean by the statement Blain?

Can you clarify "intimate love"? Is it physical or more in the terms Tintin refers to?

I think the marriage is a archtype or model for us, the most intimate of relationships, no hanky-panky needed, just that total devotion to Jesus.
