So on my walk today I had a deep conversation with God. I spoke to him about all sorts of things mainly about him and I become much closer but of the things we talked about this one may be the most interesting. I told him how crazy it is that there are so many different denominations, beliefs and views in Christianity. I said to him why do we have such vast division? why can't we all united and just be Christians, followers of Christ, seeker of his own heart. Then a certain scripture came to mind Mathew 10:34 "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. So then I saw that this scripture is fulfilled with todays great division in Christianity. I then said sometimes its hard to tell who is really a follower of God and without meaning to I said the parable of the farmer the wheat and the tares. I said how it just seems that both the true believers and the not so true believers are both together and makes it hard for ppl to tell them apart. This is when the parable of the wheat and the tares came to mind.

A problem I constantly run into is that ppl will believe what they believe by opinion, and how they see things. For instance a person can look at a rainbow and be filled with joy while another person can see the same thing and say its no big deal. How we see things affects us greatly and what we believe is very important, I thought about all of this on my walk and told God that I want him to to teach me himself. I know how other ppl have different views and beliefs and honestly because of the vast difference in them I am concerned about how I myself see and believe things. Because if there are so many different views and beliefs it must be easy to see or believe something that isn't how God sees or believes. I mean it may seem like its the correct view and may seem like it is from God but even satan can come like an angel of light.

This is why it is very important to have a teachable heart and not a stubborn one. When I go to the debates in the bible discussion forum I go there willing to be wrong, willing to be taught and willing to admit my belief or view was a bit off. But I see so many on here who are more stubborn than my mom and trust me that takes a lot. in my moms mind she is always right no ifs and's or butts, she will not listen to reason and can't admit she is wrong. I love her but its a good thing she doesn't go into debates on here.
