Things Are Getting Darker.

Yesterday, I was reading ChristianHeadlines and I noticed how things are just getting more sick and dark.



Christian News Headlines

I usually read thru the news here (not because the author writes as if they are Christain and or from a Biblical perspective), but because it covers a lot of events that are going on that are Bible related. Yesterday, I was overcome with a vexation within my spirit as I read one dark thing after another. I was overcome in the Spirit to just pray. To pray for the people who are living amongst us. So it is my encouragment to any or all true believers here to pray for people and the darkness that they are in. Pray for them. Things are getting darker and we need to shine the Light all the more, my friends.

I usually read thru the news here (not because the author writes as if they are Christain and or from a Biblical perspective), but because it covers a lot of events that are going on that are Bible related. Yesterday, I was overcome with a vexation within my spirit as I read one dark thing after another. I was overcome in the Spirit to just pray. To pray for the people who are living amongst us. So it is my encouragment to any or all true believers here to pray for people and the darkness that they are in. Pray for them. Things are getting darker and we need to shine the Light all the more, my friends.
The thing that has most surprised me is the speed at which gayness has been thrust on society. In schools they are teaching little children that "different relationships" are also normal. How CAN it be normal if it can't produce the next generation? What has surprised me even more is that it appears it is just as steep a demise in the US as it is in the UK - now that HAS surprised me. The whole world is heading for Hell - FAST. time for Jesus' return methinks.

You're not going to find a lot of good news because bad news sells more products and services. Sensationalism, gossip, heinous crimes, sexual perverseness, etc., etc. Whatever gets the public's attention. The media wants to make us feel sad, fearful, angry, anxious, remorseful, agitated, depressed, unattractive, unacceptable, anything to manipulate you to buy their products and services.

The devil tries to hinder God's children by trying to discourage and frighten them and make them doubt God. Let me repeat: THE DEVIL TRIES TO HINDER GOD'S CHILDREN BY TRYING TO DISCOURAGE AND FRIGHTEN THEM AND TO MAKE THEM DOUBT GOD. :mad:

Yes, the Word of God warns us that the world will get worse and worse. And of course, modern technology provides no end to avenues of godlessness. Nevertheless, Lord Jesus says in John 16:33: "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you might have peace. In the world you will have tribulation: but be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world." :)

And in Philippians 4:8 we are told: Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think on these things.

And we can keep comforting and encouraging one another, lifting up the body of believers so that we can stand strong for Christ Jesus that the world can see He is the way, the truth and the life. We can relate to Jesus so intimately that we are not cast down in our souls and weakened by the negative events in the world. We can learn to intercede for the Lord's sake, that His perfect will be done in this world.

Rejoice in the Lord always... give thanks to God in all things... sing and praise the Lord together, worship Him in holiness... not in spite of the condition of the world, but BECAUSE HE IS GOD AND IS WORTHY OF OUR PRAISE! \:D/

Well, I just heard about it and did not really read up on it yet. But it wouldn't surprise if this were to happen sometime soon.

Disney has blocked the word "God" from it's website (with people posting comments) and the company blocks the word "God" in their movies, etc.

There are even more attempts to purge "God" and "Christ" from our society.

But I know what you mean by double checking the story. Not that I trust any media really, but just the other day when I was reading in Christian Headlines, they reported an article about the largest Nativity scene in Utah.

I thought it was strange that it was held in Utah.

I thought, ... "Oh that's nice." So I decided to look into it some more. It's not a Christian event. It was a Mormon event. So either the author(s) at Christian Headlines either did not realize the story they were covering, or they don't care about reporting factual information.

I don't think the pope is a Christian and or Catholicism is true. I believe it is a pagan religion that has stolen the name Christianity and have stolen certain elements of Christianity so as to add to their pagan worship that existed prior as a part of ancient Rome. That is why the RCC is full of corruption and sin. It is not a true church of God.

I normally don't get into talking about the news much. I prefer discussing the Word of God. But when I happened to be reading, and seen all the darkness, I was overcome by God's Spirit to feel great sorrow. Sorrow in love for those who are in darkness. I was overcome to pray. That is very rare for me. So it is not a bad thing. It is in what you do with the situation. Times are getting darker my friend. We cannot hide from it. The Pre-Trib Rapture may come, but I that doesn't mean the church may not be persecuted here in America before that point. For Christians are being persecuted elsewhere in the world. We should think about them, too.

That's the point of the thread. In my original post, I said that we have to shine our lights even brighter when things are getting daker. We have to be more vigilant and more dedicated to Christ and in loving others more. Loving each other (the brethren) more. For folks see the 7 year Tribulation as a bad thing. Well, it is actually intended to get people to turn to God and to repent of their wickedness. Sometimes things have to get really bad for some people in order to turn to God.

For why is there evil in the world?

Simple.

Because of God's grace. For God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. For God is allowing more time space for man to repent. He wants to make sure every one has a chance.

A lot of Canadian elder in his 70's there, They go to dentist or by a medicine. it is cheap.

I went there this morning for dental work, The dentist working on my teeth in about 20 minutes, than ask me to back in an hour.

I am looking for a drink, and there is free drink ads, there are girls dancing and visitors allowed to put stickers on the body of the girl . the Canadian people in they 70's was put stickers on her private part, in front of the crowd.
People laughed like nothing unusual.

I think that we have a poor view of what is dark - think about living in Jesus' day or the first century - we still have it pretty good

Never said things today are worse than Jesus' day.

Do you think things today are getting better morally than say a few decades ago? That is what I am talking about.

We are talking about the moral state of people around us and how people have appeared to decline morally.

Also, please stop being Mr. Negative all the time and be nice and loving like a Christian is supposed to be (for a change) and stop trying to fight with me on every single post or word I say.
