Grandpa, you know what bothered me about what you posted last night --- it all focused on 'self' and that's the worst possible thing that we can do. Like "what are MY GOOD traits" etc.etc.. We're to keep our minds stayed on Him - not see who we are based upon some nice things we like to think 'of' ourselves and then categorize the whole of ourselves by what some human wrote instead of allowing His Word to tell us what we're like and praying that He'll change what He doesn't like in us when He also shows us Who we're not like. His Word is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart and we're washed by the cleansing of His Word from those things that we think are even good traits but aren't from Him. Turns into glorying in our flesh / in ourselves.
I think we'd do better, if we'd read some of this other site - cuz words are sure getting trickier as these days go by, friend!

Yes, that's what the problem is with this Myers-Briggs jobadoo. No one 'stays' in any one of those categories and looking for our 'personality type' is a deception because "all hearts are deceptively wicked - who can know it" and that includes OURS and if we don't see it that way and go the route of looking at charts like this --- we'll always go for what we "think" about ourselves and the introspection is actually a stumbling block to 'Spiritual' growth --- but if we Keep our eyes on Him and "The Word of Truth" = Heb_4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Myers-Briggs can't do this because "we don't even know our own heart" and only The Word of God made flesh And written can do the transforming work of His One and Only Goal for us and that's to "Transform us into the Image of the Son" and not focus on what we think we're like or are NOW.
Those are carnal means that never work with the work of The Spirit of God the Father.
It's never too late to research more and more about what we've believe-d and get back to His Words Only!

not one word of that makes any sense at all. I get the impression that you are convinced that science and psychology is somehow going to undermine the Bible and that you think people should is there for close their eyes and ignore the myers-briggs personality types.
I don't know if it's science in general that you distrust or if it's just me that you distrust but either way you are being ridiculous.
