Do you believe Jesus is God because His body is the temple for the Holy Spirit?

If you believe that Jesus is God because the holy Spirit is in him perhaps you could provide scripture to support this idea.

The Holy Ghost is the Father of Christ. True or false?
No that is not true. There are three separate and distinct persons of God - Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit. Did you not read the last email I sent you?

Matthew 1:18,20 is True or false?
Of course it is true but I think you are confusing Jesus as a man and Jesus as God. Mary was the mother of the child Jesus but she was not the mother of God.

Nope, not for that reason. I believe that Christ is God for this reason...

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Romans 8:29
For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

Zechariah 12:10
“And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication (Prayer). They will look on me (God), the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.

2 Corinthians 13:14
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Romans 6:19
I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness.

John 3:12
I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?

It is hard for us to relate to the spiritual nature of God because of our human limitations, but God can manifest His spirit to become a living being and that is why He is called the Almighty, but we can only manifest ours through acts, expressions and words. It was hard for God and the prophets to explain the spiritual nature that they had to speak in parables (Mystical).

I see. Jesus was not suggesting we limit our conversation to yes or no responses. What he is saying is simply that when we say yes, we mean yes and when we say no we mean no. The context is the issuing of oaths. Jesus' point was that a man of integrity does not need to confirm his word by an oath. His word is sufficient.

John 16:13 is True or False?
John 16:13[SUP] [/SUP]But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

In the beginning God has shown how great is His powers that He is able to speak (think of) all things into existence. He is able to harden Pharaoh's heart and able to tell satan (evil force) to flee and or tell a group of people to vanish from His sight. Elisha has demonstrated what a son can do when he had conjured up a bear out of anger, and that is why God had to remove anger (evil) from us, or there will be bears roaming around everywhere.

I think people get bogged down with this 'Jesus is God' stuff. Church Fathers have even gone to war over this and murdered each other. The Orthodox Church split with Rome over a related squabble.

To be more pragmatic, it's important to realise this:

1. Jesus was called Rabbi by his followers and his fan club at the time. Jesus was seen as a Teacher. A holy man that taught. He then got a reputation as a healer. Because in those days people believed in the spiritual power to heal, and God sent Jesus with that power.

2. Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the light. No one comes to 'The Father' (ie Yahweh. aka God), except through me.

So right away, Jesus is saying: He is the embodiment of 'truth'. Much like the pagans whose Gods embodied virtues, Jesus was the embodiment of 'The way', 'The Truth' and 'the light'.

But more important, is that Jesus is the 'doorway'. He connects a person, via him, to 'The Father'. People pray and use Jesus' name to command things. Like: "In Jesus' name, I pronounce you healed!".

So.... just on the very off chance, Jesus is not God... it doesn't matter, Because Jesus is 'the way', 'the truth' and 'the light', and the embodiment of truth says he is the only way, through, to The Father.

So we conclude, That Jesus, who is the doorway, is an emanation of God, just like the Holy spirit. aka, is God.
