I don't know everything about God. I don't know everything about God's Word. But I know what makes God cry.

We make God cry! Us so called "Christians". Now, I am probably more guilty than most with this. Trying to prove our point we will put others down and berate people to make us look or feel good. We like to strut around our knowledge before others so we can "show off" our knowledge of God and Biblical matters.

If a non Christian were to look at even half of our "discussions" what would they think? A bunch of Bible bashers trying to get their way. We argue over some of the stupidest things trying to prove ourselves Biblically correct and someone else wrong. Shoot a non Christian would be so confused they wouldn't wanna be a Christian.

We rarely ever show love towards one another in a forum. If someone disagreed with me heck I'll call them a name. What a stupid idiot I am!!!! Only one person here has ever called me out when I did that. Yep it hurt but I am sure glad and thankful for it. They made me look at myself. They made me see what I was doing. They made me realize I wanted to "look good" before others.

Sure discussion is fine but we take it too far. We have to be "the big man/woman on the block". Shoot I'm done with that God willing and Holy Spirit leading.

We are not called to "convert" people. We aren't called to save people. Shoot we aren't even called to "make" new Christians. We are called to plant the seed. The Holy Spirit does all the saving. We can take no credit in it at all. In fact if we are planting the seed correctly it's the Holy Spirit not us doing the planting.

Only forums, except one I have seen, that can cause an argument last more than a couple pages. What happened to build each other up? What happened to love one another? What happened to growing in Christ together as a family of Christ?

How about we start a forum that can help us grow as a family instead of destroying the family God has for us. How about we look at God instead of us.

I was an idiot....I'm done!

All we can do is preach the word and the best is our testimony and the Holy Spirit does the rest. We cannot force people, again all we can do is preach the gospel. That's why it is the greatest miracle of all. Don't give up, I know that's easy to say, but it is the truth if you don't give up He won't give up. Keep on the firing line.

Oh you must fight be brave against all evil never run or even lag behind, If you should win for God and the right, just keep on the firing line.

Now I feel like singing.

I'm not saying "give up". I'm saying "how about we stop arguing about stupid stuff and help each other grow in Christ".

It seems we tear down more than build up here.

Yes, we do, but remember we are a family and families sometimes have disagreements and a drunk uncle. If there is one thing we can agree it is the cross of Christ and that's the main thing. Some don't even agree on that. We can't all have the same color bubble gum. WE will fight cause you got a red one and I got a blue one and your orange juice is a millimeter more than mine. Don't give into this childish acts. Keep preaching.

Jesus wept because they would not accept Him and knew that they would be destroyed.

He cries at the evil that man chooses...

The Wickedness of Man
…5Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6The LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7The LORD said, "I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them."

We must learn His ways of love and wash out the evil intent of our hearts.. The more we grow and mature, we learn that what we thought was " cool " and the things we " wanted " aren't cool and we don't want them... God willing..

Not everyone's on the same page but hopefully striving for and seeking the same One... God/YAH

God cried because lazarus died, He cries because the world and his creation was not supposed to be this way, Because he LOVES his creation.

Did "God" cried for that in John 11:35?

(or just shouted at John 11:43)

In either of both cases, the Jewish argument would be thought provoking: ""Could not he who opened the eyes of the blind man also have kept this man from dying?" " Jn 11:37

I just leave it here...

Elf check out the prayer forum. There are always people there praying and building each other up.

I love Bible discussion, but this forum can get really heated. Sometimes we have to learn when to walk away and just pray for the other person.

I may not agree with everything everyone here says or thinks, but I have found common ground in the belief that God loves each and every one of us. He created us for a reason. He has a job and a purpose for each of our lives. We need to pray and help each other see that purpose and do His will.

I'm glad that you listened to that person who spoke up and allowed God to touch your heart.

One of the major things that it took me to learn was that God doesn't ask us to "save" people. He sent Jesus to do that. We just need to plant that seed or water it with words and love. God will do the rest.

God bless and keep you.

I also believe that God is compassionate and that He cries over anything that makes us cry. I would like to think He cries with me when I am hurting and that is a comforting thought to me.

not true at all and I am shocked at your reply as an apostle as you allude to you should know all the things that grieve the Holy Spirit you forget he wept over Lazarus he was moved with compassion in the death of his friend and he was a man natural man oh so yes we do often grieve the Holy Spirit and even as tough as nails as he is he still cry's

okay, hard as it is. what 'if' we make God laugh? not cry? think that's better? or good?
nope,
God laughs in Scripture,
at the plans of the wicked..... how's that? For 2000 years the system of 'chruchianity' has persecuted people all over the glove instead of helping and healing them. they will go a thousand miles over desert and ocean to CONVERT ONE SOUL- and make him SEVEN TIMES THE DEVIL that they are........

how's that ?

that's what society has been, longer than many of our generations have been..... full of wickedness and deception and murder and stealing and lyin.

so, where can you or me or anyone find the real people of the book ? .. .. .. can't !

same as finding a good wife is a gift from Yhvh the Creator. so too, just finding true people is a gift. not of the flesh. not of edccation, not of the power of man and all his schools and colleges and churches.

finding true people is a gift, and not many do. it totally depends on Yhvh (God).

oh, there may be one, two, or a few here. can't tell. not on the internet.... everyone , everywhere, is a fake. that's 'norm'.

same as it was 'norm' in Yeshua's time 2000 years ago.... oh, He saved all the Father gave Him, and still does. but that leaves the whole world still.... (read Revelation - the whole world is deceived, and doesn't even THINK OF GOD - no, doesn't even think of turning to Him for help in time of desperate trouble; rather they all curse Him; curse God.

ewxcept for a remnant few. set apart by Him. holy. perfect. true. "babes" Yeshua calls us. not scholars nor teachers. babes.

lambs in the midst of wolves. lights in the world full of darkness. 'potato peels' thrown out in today's society(see the message). **

For sure. Which is the point of the OP.
This is totally missing the point.

. Much of the time we don’t have enough to eat, we wear patched and threadbare clothes, we get doors slammed in our faces, and we pick up odd jobs anywhere we can to eke out a living. When they call us names, we say, “God bless you.” When they spread rumors about us, we put in a good word for them. We’re treated like garbage, potato peelings from the culture’s kitchen. And it’s not getting any better.
