been thinking about something and i think this is the right spot to put it. After Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans a few years later the Saints went to the super bowl now i been wondering if God maby rewarded them after something so terrible happened and maby God said to the Saints team you been through enough you deserve this super bowl now what is everyone opinion on this?

Would you say winning a sports event is recompense for all those that died and ended up homeless? Think about that.

And if god felt they deserved recompense for that horrible event... Why did he inflict it upon them in the first place?

This is one of the dangers of Christianity. It makes people lose all sense of scale and perspective.

People die and lose their homes? Its OK, god made them win the superbowl. Praise god!

I don't usually get angry with absurd statements... But this is diagraceful.

Never, in the Bible, did He bless a people group after they suffered the consequences of their sin. Louisianna...New Orleans, specifically, is FULL of paganism and the occult. It was a wake up call...and still most of them are asleep. They did not turn to the Lord...and if they did, it was only temporary and without commitment. Who comes to KILL, steal and DESTROY? The devil. And God MUST allow him to do so, as it is the consequences of the rebellion of the people. Bottom line: Hos 4:6~~~~~~~~~AGAIN!

I don't think Katrina was a wake-up call at all. The ones that got hurt the worse were the poor. I don't believe that these unfortunate individuals were any more sinful than the rest of humanity. I really don't think that God is a Saints fan either but I may be wrong on this.
