So what are you trying to say? That we all run around naked! God Forbid!

I believe Noah became drunk and then because he didn't think clearly be took his clothes off.
You think so? And what about David?

What about David? I know there is a place where he danced with excitement.

I guess I'm not sure why were trying to defend being naked. For myself I like to wear clothers, except when I take a shower, but thats just me.

No one says that we should run around naked. What is wrong is having man's thoughts about what is right and wrong, and not God's thoughts. In the garden, Adam and Eve were not even aware that they were naked until they ate of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. They did not even know! The issue here is innocence, in Christ Jesus.

I think that there are three issues:
1. The shame that was the immediate result of the fall. I believe that that shame differs from one individual to another. Some suppress it which would not be bad except for numbers two and three.
2. The instruction not to cause temptation in your brother and sister. This varies somewhat culturally and requires that we dress modesty.
3. (Very important to me.) The gross out factor. I will endevour not to gross you out, please have the same respect for me. lol

exactly.. there is nothing inherently wrong being naked.. otherwise, babies will be born complete with a suit out of the mother's womb.
The wrong part is being drunk and indecent.
So, back the op's question, if it shame you that bad then wear a robe. not a big deal.. but, i do not think it is sinful to be naked in a locker room when you need to change clothes.

I need to admit that i seriously Laughed out Loud when I read the posters post as I too ran down a country road with a friend in 1977 with no clothes on at 1 am (i was 9). Actually I related to everything you posted including the feeling uncomfortable in the locker room. I see these women who let it all hang out and dry their hair naked and it just isnt right to me. So for me, i cover myself with a wrap towel & always have a corner locker & am able to dress with my towel on so I dont show my nakedness. I think there's a reason why you feel this way and its ok to be modest & cover ones self. Its what i prefer. I wish we had stalls for everyone cause seriously, i seen stuff i really coulda lived without seeing

Knowing the Scriptures, I could never call nakedness anything but "beautiful".

I don't think so :) I don't think any topic that deals with Scripture and/or G-d's creation is dumb.

If the subject is important to someone, it obviously is not dumb to them. Just because this topic does not concern you does not mean it does not affect others. If you think the subject is so dumb, you have the option to ignore the thread. This IS the internent. You do not have to come here if you do not wish to.

Oh for crying out loud, I think this is just your uncomfortableness at being naked. Think of children - they love running around naked! They dont care and they love getting naked together. Sure, this of course gets disciplined as we get older but at the end of the day its a maturity thing in my opinion. I live in Japan for a month when I was 16, maybe I just loved the culture and how respectful they were but I enjoyed going to an onshen (womens bath house). Its a little weird at first, but you get over it. People who are pedantic about getting changed in public in my opinion are just worried about people maybe laughing at them? Well thats their immaturity that they have to deal with. As a young woman, theres nothing on my body that another woman has not already seen, so at the end of the day - who cares?

But of course I do agree with having modesty while doing this. Public changing rooms do require a bit of decorum when it comes to being being confident with ones body.

That's offensive that you chalk up other people's modesty to immaturity. It has nothing to do with immaturity. It has to do with personal convictions, and I am convicted that I am not to walk around naked. Yes, some people feel uncomfortable showing their naked body to others. That does not make them immature. If someone feels uncomfortable showing their nakedness to others perhaps they have a low self-esteem. It is in no way immature to have a low self-esteem, so instead of calling those people immature, perhaps you should try to help them raise their self-esteem.

At the end of the day, God cares. If God did not care, he would not have required Adam and Eve to wear clothes.

continuing to agree with lilrush. I have actually alot of confidence, I have no problem being naked in front of my husband... I'd rather no one else see me though & I can understand someone else feeling this way. I think the poster actually has a wonderful relationship with the Lord. Have you read his psalms thread? He is definitely someone who eagerly seeks the will of God in his life. Anyway I answered I dont know in this thread cause I dont know if its a sin to be naked but I do know that I feel uncomfortable infront of others & dont know if thats the Holy Spirit's conviction or not but I choose to remain covered. even bathing suits, I choose tanktop type with skort. My body is for my husband, not anyone else. Just my personal opinion though.

I agree with the whole self esteem thing.. but, just wondering, do you think these people (the one sitting on the ground) commit a sin? They are pretty much naked in their daily lives.

Do you think God will hold them accountable for having indecent culture?
