I have a real simple question, and I will post it as a poll as well as want it debated...Is it wrong to change clothes in the locker room?

I have begun changing in a bathroom stall in the men's lockeroom some of the time, but am unsure if it is necessary...

I still sometimes get changed into my bathing suit just inside the locker room, though I try to do it quick and when nobody is around to see my nakedness...

But I am beginning to question if it is profane to let anyone see your nakedness whatsoever besides your wife/husband?

This comes up because I personally do not like seeing men naked in the locker room...

Sometimes I go into the sauna (with clothes on of course--at least a bathing suit) and think its rediculuos when some guy is completely naked in there...

Sometimes I cover myself and then change clothes in my car if needed, is this wrong?

What I have done naked that I am unsure if they are wrong--I think I said these in the last thread but am still a bit quixotic about them...

1-When I was bored, I once kind-of went streaking with a somewhat friend...of the same sex and neither of us are gay...we basically ran to the end of a country road at night and were seen by absolutely no one...so I am unsure if it can be considered streaking...I lead towards thinking this was wrong actually...for I do not believe everybody should start doing this...hence against my moral imperative.

2-I once lived near a river and swam a few times in the nude...but only when no one else was there...is that wrong?

I write this from a sincere desire to know if I should ban changing inside the lockerroom at the gym all together?

Thanks and God bless
tony

I often go for a swim in the nude in my pool when no one is around at night and day time...nothing wrong at all, why should it be wrong, do you have a bath/shower with clothes on?..sometimes I even have a dip in the sea nude..in a secluded area of course.
As for changing in locker rooms, I change but very very fast, I also do not like seeing other mens nakedness..as for it being wrong...I don't think so but one has to be careful because there are a lot of bisexual/gay men around. If it makes you uncomfortable do as you are doing.

God was clear. Nakedness is sinful. Remember what happened with Noah!

Life today has gotten everyone so paranoid about everything we do. I don't see changing clothes in front of others in that type of situation bad. I DO see that nakedness can be perverted by others, but that is their sin-not yours. Naked in the sauna seems to be a health issue to me, but God is the only one that can help you decide if you are sinning-or-just being made to feel that you are.

Did you know that you have a hexegram as your logo. That is a very occultic symbol used to place hexes (spells) on poeple. Is is said to be the star of David, but I believe it was created by the mystic Jews also known as the Illuminati.

Ya I guess for me I don't care for poeple to see me naked. You see so many people walking around those locker rooms with no shame watsoever. I've seen some poeple hop on the scale, walk from one end to the other. Its like get some clothes on budy, I don't care so get exposed to your nakedness.

That is your opinion and you are entitled to it.
To me it is the Star of David which is the same symbol that is on the Nation of Israel's flag whom I believe is God's chosen people that the entire Bible revolves around and whom it was prophesied umpteen times in the Bible regarding end times which I will not go into.
Thank you for your concern and welcome to CC albeit a strange first post.

Thank you for welcoming me.

I will comment that some people overemphasize that the Jews are God's choosen people. In the Old Testament they were, but know we read in John 3:16 that whosoever believes in Jesus is God's chosen people.

so me skinny dipping is sinful in your eyes then?
Hi Graybeard,

I have your Star of David tatooed on my arm because the people of Israel are God's chosen, but anyhow, to another subject, I've always wondered what others think about nude colonies...I know the body is our temple because God lives within us, but I would be so terribly embarrased to be seen naked in public!!! :) What are your thoughts on nude colonies, out of curiosity and respect for your many wonderful and insightful posts and opinions??? :)

nude colonies.....totally disagree with it!...I believe that is a cult....the only time I myself am comfortable nude is either by myself or with my wife and no further.

I don't want this to detract from the thread topic....but a lot of prophesies that where prophesied in the Old Testament could not happen until Israel was once again a recognized Nation which by the way happened in 1948 and since then some of the prophesies have been fulfilled and some are in the process of being fulfilled...all I can say is for people to open their eyes and see that the Bible is not a story book as these things are happening in our day...glory to God!

Honestly I don't think nakedness itself is a moral issue. Obviously, you need to keep the sensibilities of others in mind, and if you are bothered by their nudity then you could ask them to keep your sensibilities in mind; these are matters of kindness and respect for your fellow man. Recall that Scripturally speaking, Adam and Eve hadn't done anything wrong by being naked; the problem was that nakedness was considered shameful to the Hebrews. God gave them clothing because of their own inner weakness, not because nudity is inherently 'bad'.

The shame that comes from seeing or being seen naked is a result of the imperfect nature of man, and I would argue that being comfortable in your own skin is a victory over the flesh. (That's not to say exhibitionism is good, since that's more of a surrender to selfish impulses than a conquering of shame.)

Look at the plain text of the Bible

It is only an issue between close relatives of the opposite sex
and that is BECAUSE
it is a euphonism for SEX

lighten up
if everyone had these attitudes we would have no christian doctors and nurses

In a hexigram the star doesn't point up/down.

I think your feelings are totally normal.

1) Locker rooms are rather disgusting because its a place where people get naked in front of complete strangers, and have to sometimes see naked strangers that you wish you didn't have to see.

2) The bible says we should be embarassed by our nakedness. That is why God asked Adam and Eve "Who told you that you were naked?" (Gen 3:11) after they ate of the tree of knowledge, and then he sewed garments out of fig leaves for them. They were trying to cover themselves up.

their nakedness was symbolic of their shame

their shame was to do with their UNrighteousness

clothes symbolise our need to have our unrighteousness covered in God's sight

these are all symbols

a square metre of naked skin os NOT the issue

Nakedness is such an emotional issue because it is an individual issue. Our society makes an issue of nakedness, and whenever that happens, some are going to be put in a difficult place. Paul wrote that if a person is not condemned in what he allows, then that one is blessed, having no condemnation. In each persons heart, we much examine what we feel is wrong and what we feel is right, for us. And we really should avoid making that decision for others. An example. King David once was so filled with the joy of the Lord, because they had successfully moved the ark of the covenant, that he danced naked through the streets of Jerusalem, before all the people, with the joy of the Lord. His wife condemned him, and eventually lost his love. Another example. Noah, after the flood, after building an altar to God and giving sacrifice, planted a vineyard and made wine, which he then drank until he was drunk and passed out in his tent naked. One of his sons went in and saw him and reacted shamefully. His other two sons went in backwards to cover him, so that they would not look upon their father's nakedness.

Let the Lord rule your heart by His Spirit.

if it is wrong to be naked, then why on earth God created us naked? Do you know it is wrong to call what God said to be perfect as sinful?
Noah's mistake is not being naked but being indecent and got heavily drunk.

So what are you trying to say? That we all run around naked! God Forbid!

I believe Noah became drunk and then because he didn't think clearly be took his clothes off.
