Noah and his sons were separated from their wives on the Ark. many believe this was to meant to show they did not have relations on the Ark. they were all married so whats the big deal? anyone ever think about this?

This is some weird speculation with no biblical basis what-so-ever. Where did you hear this?

Genesis 7:7

[SUP]7 [/SUP]And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.

they didnt enter together, the men, then the women.

I thought maybe it was a small verse that i'd forgotten about or overlooked, so I whipped out e-sword and couldn't find anything referring to that in Gen 7, at least.

Genesis 7:7

[SUP]7 [/SUP]And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.

they didnt enter together, the men, then the women.
Edit: Ahhh, I read that as they went in together, not separately.

That's just another way to say they all entered the ark before the Flood came.

Gen makes a point to say they were separate. why would they do that?

What bible are you reading? I can maybe see this happening if there were only two bedrooms for sleeping on that ark and they had to put the guys in one and the girls in the other.

This is just one more question I need to ask Noah when someday I meet him face to face. My list keeps getting longer.

The four couples were married. I'm sure they all had their own sleeping quarters.

where this came from:
i was watching a Rob skiba presentation on nephilim. he was saying this could be a clue to where the post flood hybrids came from. it was just an opinion of his and nothing more.

Yes, that would be it. His opinion. Nothing more. Why couldn't the post-Flood 'Nephilim' just have been giant people who reminded Shem, Ham and Japheth and their wives' descendants of the Nephilim from pre-Flood times? I think that's much more likely.

So going back to them not sleeping with their wives on the Ark, how did you come to that conclusion with that scripture?

not just his opinion, this is accepted by rabbis and most Christian theologians. his opinion is based on the accepted mainstream interpretation, you make it sound like he is some quack trying to pull something out of thin air. Skiba is a leading expert on nephilim.

the post flood giants/hybrids were more than just tall, the bible gives many examples of them being full of evil, corruption, etc. nimrod rebelled against the Almighty himself.
the term giant leads people off track. they were probably tall but that wasnt the issue, these things caused lots and lots of trouble. the fact they were so evil is whats significant.

i looked it up for myself. i couldnt find much in the notes of the Christian bibles. but the ridrash notes in the Jewish bible confirmed this. if it had nothing to do with future giant hybrids then what was the reason?

I'm not really getting the connection between them not sleeping with their wives and future giant hybrids.
Sorry i'm a bit slow at the best of times lol

Maybe it's from the movie version??
I wouldn't trust that movie to be accurate........that movie also had Transformers helping Noah build the Ark.
Always look to scripture when in doubt.

im sure i am much slower so dont feel bad. the men and women separation is one of many things connecting to the hybrids. everything was corrupt in the days of Noah. except noah. the sons and daughter in laws could have been corrupt and passed on bad kids.there are a few things suggesting it was the wives along with the way women pass on genes. this would explain why shem was ok, japeth maybe and ham not so good. it was the grandsons of Noah when the problems start and why the bloodline of the Jews and Jesus went through Shem.

if anyone wants a link to the video presentation let me know.

Even IF that verse implied that the men and women entered the ark separately (which it does not) it is a quantum leak of conjecture to imply that it suggests that they remained separated for the twelve months and ten days they were on the ark. This is nothing but someone's abuse of this verse in an attempt to legitimize some pet theory.
