I think we have the power to forgive people who sinned against us, but every sin committed is ultimately against God. So unless they repent and believe, God will judge them whether we forgive them or not. We don't have the power to absolve them from the consequences with God.

"forgive us our trespasses as we FORGIVE those who trespass against us.............."

Matthew 18:21 .) Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
22 .) Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

I think that people will misunderstand your thread.We cant forgive sins but people that have sinned against us.They still require God to forgive them once they repent.

​of couse we can forgive ppl's sins..Jesus commands it of us in the Lord's prayer..forgiving someone's trespass against us IS forgiving their SIN..but yes, they still need God's forgiveness also.. :)

Oh man I so feel for you, thats all I do is go through back pain and problems, I am constantly bedridden for whatever thing starts on it. So sorry to hear blue_ladybug I can really empathize with you on that.

I especially hate it because the pain grips your attention and cant get past it to think about something else, but then again even if I had my laptop during an episode, I can't type while laying on my back well and it can be very isolating, I dread each time I must endure it because I never feel more alone then in that time, so I will pray for you.

God our Father bless and heal you in Jesus name sis

tanks..............but consider this.............does God forgive our sin..............or does God forgive US? Jesus paid the price for our sins making it possible for God to forgive us OF our sins.............as we are to forgive our brothers OF their sins against us............

We forgive our brother, absolving them of their sin against us.............and, in so doing, the sin is removed..........I know, I know................ :)

(OP not intended to confuse, just to get folks thinking............)

I had a steroid injection 3 weeks ago today, but last Tuesday I had to sit for an hour and 1/2 in a dr's waiting room..that undid the 3 weeks I spent being painfree.. :/ and ty.. i appreciate all prayers.. :)

I believe this also because it is stated in the bible. This is the power of God working through us.

I type standing up for the most part I have a problem sitting, so I understand.

And I had two back teeth extracted yesterday and sitting on that dentist chair just did me in, I have no pain from the extractions its always my dumb back. Cant wait to throw off this mortal coil.

And I appologize too, when I responded to your post, I had caught it from the front page of the forum and actually thought it was the prayer board until after I posted looked up and saw Im in bible discussions.

I will say prayers of healing for you too, today. Debilitating pain can suck the life out of you.
