The resurrection is riddled with contradictions because the verses are being twisted to match the teachings of Paul

Jesus compared himself to Jonah
Matt. 12:40, “For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” Let us note several points that make it proper for the Lord to speak of “the sign of Jonah the prophet” as He compared himself to Jonah (Matt. 12:39).

So was Jonah dead or alive in the whales belly the three days he was there ?

Everyone thought Jonah was dead but he appeared to them alive. Same happened with Jesus. Jesus and Jonah were both thought dead but were alive.

Jesus told us God is greater than I and without God he can do nothing. Unfortunately Christians seem to ignore these verses.

Jesus was mistaken for a gardener. Do you understand the implications of this ? When you do gardening in summer how do you look ? Not glorious, Jesus was in hiding even those closest to him did not recognise him.

Jesus was severely tested by God just as Abraham was. Jesus accepted God's will and ask for it to be taken away. Jesus passed the test and God using his power saved Jesus. The test for us is to pick up the numerous clues provided and act on it.

Good gravy! Christianity counts for jack all if Jesus didn't really die and then rise to new life.

Jonah was alive in the belly of the fish. The parallels between the two goes like this:

God sent Jonah to cry against Nineveh.
God sent Jesus to cry against Jerusalem.

Jonah rose up to leave where ever he was to go to Tarshish out of the presence of the Lord.
Jesus rose up to leave heaven and come to the earth out of the presence of the Lord.

Jonah found a ship going to Tarshish and paid the price to get on.
God prepared a body for Jesus and Jesus left the riches of heaven to come to earth.

The literal sea was troubled because of Jonah.
The spiritual sea was troubled because of Jesus.

The mariners cast lots against Jonah.
The soldiers cast lots for Jesus' clothes.

Jonah volunteered to be cast into the literal sea to calm it.
Jesus voluntarily went to the cross to calm the spiritual sea.

Jonah was swallowed by a literal big fish where he stayed three days and three nights.
Jesus was swallowed up by a spiritual big fish (death) where he stayed three days and three nights.

Jonah prayed to God while he was in the belly of the literal big fish.
Jesus prayed to God while he was in the spiritual belly (hell) of the spiritual big fish (death).

God spoke to the literal fish and it vomited out Jonah.
God spoke to the spiritual fish and Jesus rose from the dead.

You see Jonah's story matches Jesus's story to a T. We can learn a lot about Jesus' experience after the cross by reading the book of Jonah.

Time to come out of your comfort, "I only need to believe to be saved" zone.

People have spent centuries twisting what has been said to fit in with Paul. Both Jonah and Jesus were thought to be dead but were not. Clues from God given to those that search for the right path.
