MANNY...it is rather presumptuous of you to argue what the bible states we can all know based upon what we have done....the word is clear and gives sure signs of what being a child of God is like and how the Lord deals with us as children....

Maybe you are just being argumentative for a reason......I know based upon numerous things.....faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word.....so...what exactly is the purpose of your thread and the presumptuous ideas and statements found therein?
Anyone can use what the bible states to make a claim for themselves, which is what you are doing. Quoting verses to prove that you have the Spirit of God means absolutely nothing. It's not enough to use the bible to support your claim. It's not enough to merely say or believe or 'know' that you have His Spirit. It's about actually having the witness from His Spirit (Romans 8:16). Do you have that witness or are you merely just lying to yourself? What evidence do you have of having that witness? I wonder, would God Himself testify that you are His child? Would He say the same of you as He did with Jesus, "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased" (Mark 1:11).

And you say that you have faith. But anyone can have that! Don't you know that devils can have faith? (James 2:19) The real question is, is the faith you have Divine Faith or is it self-manufactured? Which one do you have - and how do you know? Don't tell me that you know because the bible says so! As I've already, anyone can attribute and appropriate what the bible says, and apply it to themselves. Faith comes by hearing indeed, by what is the source of your faith, is it from God, or has it been artifically manufactured?

we can all know based upon what we have done
You can know based on what you have done? Tell me, then, what is it that you have done ?

(By the way, you avoided answering the three questions I put forward to you before. You could have even answered just yes/no. You avoidance of the questions speaks volumes )

Speaking on my own behalf, the things God speaks to us in that intimate relationship, what He says to us personally is really none of your business..to put it bluntly.
Can you imagine if the writers of the bible had that same attitude? Imagine Paul saying, ''What God has said/revealed to me is none of the church's business. I'll keep it to myself and not write about it''. How profitable would that have been for instruction and teaching and edification?

If God has really spoke to you, why should there a problem with sharing what that is? Unless He hasn't really spoke to you at all. By you saying that it's personal and 'none of your business' seems to show that you really have nothing to share at all.

Yes. I do not think I am a child of God...as in...being convinced and yet uncertain...I know.

1 John 3:23-24King James Version (KJV)

23*And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
24*And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
As i've said before, using the bible as a crutch to support your claim is not substantial... at all! Anyone can say: "I have His Spirit and am a child of God because the bible says so".

Do you think God is deceived by you? He knows who are His children. He knows who have His Spirit. He knows who He knows!

What you are doing is infact deceiving yourself. And no wonder, isn't our own heart so deceitful (Jeremiah 17:9)?

Dude, you're not going to understand until you learn to accept Christ and His sacrifice. Until then, it will all be gobbledegook.

Manny I noticed that you are not a Christian in your profile. But you asked a question and I will let the Bible speak for it's self.

1 John 3:1
1See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

John 1:12
12But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,

Didn't say none of the church's business, I said YOUR business. I've learnt over the years not to share anything with just anyone because some people have rotten fruit that will tear up anything you say and trample over you and how grieving that is...

Matt 7:6
Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

How do you know that I'm not part of God's Church; His body?

First, The devils believe that there is a God, yet they do not have FAITH into JESUS
Second, What I have done is BELIEVE the WORD of GOD and take JESUS at HIS WORD and what he has to say by the MEN he inspired to write....which is called FAITH<---the JUST shall live by faith
Third, There are NUMEROUS signs that prove one is a child of God such as....
a) the ability to understand the word of God
b) conviction and discernment about your direction based upon the H.S.
c) love of the brethren
d) chastisement when out of line

etc. I know in whom I have believed and am fully persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day!

Fourth, the very words you apply unto me without knowing me can apply unto yourself as well....have you looked into the perfect law of liberty and the mirror found therein?

And lastly
, I avoided none of your questions...I answered the OP with a yes and scripture that proves my points and you came back with what exactly? An acknowledgment of the truth? Nooooo not at all.......!

Psalm 82:6 says that everybody is a child of the Most High; and also says
that human beings are gods.

Fully persuaded are you? This is what I have to say to you, then, since you are 'fully persuaded':

'So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall!' (1 Corinthians 10:12)

You have been foully deceived; and you're not even aware of it. How could you be? Do the dead know that they are dead? Do the deceived know they are deceived?

How surprised and shocked you will be to discover that things are definitely not as you think they are.

I ask you to come and discover what is true: The Path of Truth ; or perish in your ignorance.

And lastly, I avoided none of your questions...I answered the OP with a yes and scripture that proves my points and you came back with what exactly? An acknowledgment of the truth? Nooooo not at all.......!
You certainly did not answer of the following questions, which I earlier put forward to you:

1. What gifts have been manifested to you? Discernment? Knowledge? Healing?

2. Have you heard His voice? Does God speak directly to you, as He would if He was having an intimate relationship with someone? If so, what does He say, or has He said, to you?

3. Have you had any revelations from God? If so what has He revealed to you?

See, it doesn't matter what you say to people like this, it'll either be denied, twisted or totally misconstrued.

No, it's a public forum.........sorry........but it is centered around Christianity........there are rules.......can read them. Eventually some folks will go too far and the Mods will step in............

Besides...........people can lie and say they are Christian just to get approved, then say what they want when they post. That happens too.........sadly.........

But responding to the comments of unbelievers does allow us the opportunity to sharpen our steel so to speak. And it does give us a chance to witness........not just to those few.........but to all the "visitors" reading the comments as well. In my opinion, it's the "visitors" who are most important, for some of them may well be seeking to truly learn of God and His Word. So our posting Biblical commentary is very important.

God bless.......... :)

I do know its a public forum so would be the singles room (publically for singles) or Ladies (public for ladies) or mens (public for the men) but sometimes you might find a forum which have forums just for christians (only) like subforums where its just christians like over at Worthy, they have whats called an inner court (for christians only) and those who are not (like unbelievers and athiest) the like they have a forum called "outer court" (where both Christians and unbelievers come together) if they chose to. Meaning its the christians choice whether they jump into the ring or not, rather then it being thrusted upon you.

Sometimes there is a decent model that can be followed (or reccommended) that way.

And yeah, I know they lie, and it might be a good idea to have a certain post count that occurs over a period of time, to minimize the trolls.

Im not against responding to unbelievers when I feel moved by what I feel is a sincere question but most of those who come here (as is quite obvious) arent found to be sincere, but banned as trolls.

and basically just run ya's around, which is also fun to watch if your into it.

Just sometimes I am not. I would be willing to financially support a board like that, but I'm not into paying for my own abuse. So, it was just an idea

Manny, when you are saved, you will be the first to know. Otherwise, you will never be able to understand how we feel or how God speaks with us.

Others, when you argue with this type of Atheist, you always lose. He always knows the scriptures, and he never understands them. Just add him to your ignore list and your prayer list, then move on.
