this study from Pew shows that as a percentage of total world population, Catholics dropped from ~17% to ~16% from 1910 to 2010. keep in mind that the world population has been increasing all this time -- so nearly every religious and non-religious societal grouping has increased by pure number during that time.

still trying to find some hard data that shows whether the Catholic church has actually grown by an unexpected amount over the last 2-5 years.

They planted seeds with the gay community and divorced and many more. Dont believe me now? I'll bump this post in a year. You can all talk but you pick another group not growing or perverting now and predict they'll grow and pervert. We'll see if youre right.

haha no way will i glorify myself that way, or make myself liable to a harsher judgment with that claim.

that the world population is increasing (and by extension, the population of every subgroup) is common sense and plainly seen in every census taken in the last 200 years.
that the wicked will keep being wicked -- a real prophet said this, and i believe he said it by God's Spirit for sure. (Daniel 12:10)

So is this the only thing the spirit of prophecy has given you? That the catholics are bad??? come on!

I said it in 2013 so your stats are nothing.

that's why i'm asking for more recent stats. got any?

because "recently a large mass was held" is not evidence of church growth at all, and speaking as a statistician, i think i need to see that catholic population is growing at a rate higher than what can be expected from normal human population growth. seeing that the overall trends pre 2013 are the opposite of your claim in the OP, it should be a marked turn-around.

seriously, show me the evidence if you can find it. thanks. i just want to know the truth.

the Catholic Herald, Rome's own publication, claims that Catholic growth rate remains steady in 2014, in line with general population growth.

link:
http://www.catholicherald.co.uk/news/2014/05/05/vatican-statistics-church-growth-remains-steady-worldwide/

the article reports that the number of candidates for priesthood has dropped significantly over recent years.

looking at 2012-2013, the article reports overall growth rate of around 1.14 percent, compared to world population growth rate of 1.09%
other sources (such as worldbank, here:
http://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SP.POP.GROW/countries/1W?display=graph) put the world population growth rate at 1.2%
there is a margin of error with all these #'s and it is understandable that a Catholic publication would want to report data that puts it's own growth in the best light.

compare this with Islam's growth rate, over 1.8% in the last decade and climbing (from a wide variety of sources)
and the LDS growth rate, at well over 2% (also from a wide variety of sources)

still looking for hard data for the last 2 years. everything i've seen so far says that Catholicism is being well outpaced by Mormonism and Islam though.

appreciate any hard evidence, thanks.

Then it happened quick. You people arent being reasonable.
on the contrary i think i am being reasonable, looking for evidence.

believing your own testimony that you are a prophet, without testing and searching out to at least see if your prophecies are accurate, now that would be the "unreasonable" thing, right?

Its inherent that there was growth of who is "Catholic" just on the one issue of divorced taking mass even though the numbers of those who call themselves catholic may be as you say. They let more take mass. That means more catholics.

does it? i can walk into just about any catholic church on saturday and attend mass and take communion with no questions asked. does it make me catholic?

does attending church two days a year make someone christian?

the graph i posted from Pew that tracked self-identified 'strong religious affiliation' shows so-called catholics in America who actually believe all the things catholicism stands for dropping dramatically.

not speaking from the spirit - but from my own reasoning, i'd say the number of people who are willing to check a box marking themselves on a poll as any religious affiliation is far greater than the number who actually practice and fully believe the tenets of that religion, and that that difference is steadily growing.

i feel like you ought to be careful about what you think God is telling you, and sift out what is from God and what is your own feelings. claiming to be the Lord's mouthpiece is a frightening thing that should not be taken lightly.

Claiming you hear the Spirit in your heart is a bold claim? Well I do, so just eat worms if it kills you to think that possible.

If the Ayatollah says that gay is not a sin, does that make all gays Muslims?

Look folks are trying to help you and give you good godly advice...stop all the "im a prophet" stuff and discuss the issues you think are important without trying to add Gods authority to your own thoughts.
