Jesus did not offer himself to man for man's acceptance, but he offered himself to God for God's acceptance. Jesus did not die for the sins of all mankind, but only for those that his Father gave him, John 6:37-40.

And as he sat at dinner in the house, many tax collectors and sinners came and were sitting with him and his disciples. When the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners? But when he heard this, he said, Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. Matt. 9:10-12 [NRSV]

When the scribes of the Pharisees saw that he as eating with sinners and tax collectors, they said to his disciples, Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners? When Jesus heard this, he said to them, Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick; I have come to call not the righteous but sinners. Mark 2:16,17 [NRSV]

The Pharisees and their scribes were complaining to his disciples, saying Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners? Jesus answered, Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick; I have come to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance. Luke 5:30,31 [NRSV]
