Actually Paul warned that people can often get too Specific on rituals that were performed to remember what he did, when what mattered is that you remembered what he did. Like when Paul says some of you celebrate the Sabbath on this day others celebrate it every day what is important is that you are remembering what God did. You could almost sound like a Pharisees when you start instructing how everything must be done and Christ often showed how wrong they were.

*giggles at the silly people who think Nuhen doesn't know Hebrew*

I've known Nuhen for years guys. He does know Hebrew, though we're both still working on being able to read fluently in the Hebrew script rather than transliteration, which is prolly where the confusion just there came in. And no, he didn't have to look up the Shema, he just didn't reply immediately to your post. There's no crime in being busy, is there? So no, he's no professor, he's a student. Which is what he claimed to be.

As to the actual thread, my thoughts on communion are somewhat scattered. On the one hand I totally understand the Seder concept, and on the other hand there's my mum's belief (she didn't make it up, but I forget all the books she learned all this from) that communion happens every time believers gather and fellowship and share a meal in Jesus' name.

In both cases though, communion is more a meal than a little wafer thing and a sip of wine.

HOWEVER, I will say that I love when I get to take communion at church. I don't think it's quite what Jesus meant, but it is a beautiful ceremony nonetheless.

Yes, what has that to do with anything? Welcome to the Internet age, my friend. In this strange new world you can befriend people whole continents away, talk to them face to face, even study with them!

Can I absolutely verify that he is actively being tutored by a recognised Rabbi? No. I'm not there. I can however, verify that he DOES speak Hebrew and has for years, and that we are both studying it further together. I can also verify that he's usually multitasking when he's here, and that he has a terribly habit of reading a thread, getting distracted by something else, and never quite replying. (Speaking of, you owe me two messages little bro)

And I can garuntee that he's been able to quote the Shema, in Hebrew and in English, instantly on demand, for at least two years. I don't recall asking before that :p
