Ever think about doing God's will in your life, obey him, be totally devoted to him and then go out and be the church?

The world is starving for the sons and daughters of God to manifest themselves....and that means you go out out of the 4 walls of the church....Church should be your re-filling station not where you impact the world....

If more sons and daughters of God would be sold out for Jesus and take him to the world and not keep trying to bring the world to church........

I'll stop there...
Well, I see where you are coming from to a degree. But should the church really just be a refilling station (which doesn't even really accomplish that)? Maybe the church is meant to be the main area of ministry in believers lives. Then there would be certain people who were more specifically called to preach and witness to the lost. (Not saying that people would never witness, they would all throughout their lives and day as the opportunity arose and naturally by the way they conducted themselves, but certain people would be more suited for that role than others).

I think the biggest "witness" to the lost is supposed to be how the Body of Christ functions. Otherwise, you are often times just witnessing people straight in to mediocrity. There is no power, no Christ visible. Why else do they need to water down the Gospel to the point of corrupting it?

Ephesians 4:11

And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds[c] and teachers,[d] 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood,[e] to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, 14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. 15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.17 Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds. 18 They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. 19 They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity. 20 But that is not the way you learned Christ!— 21 assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus, 22 to put off your old self,[f] which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, 23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another. 26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and give no opportunity to the devil. 28 Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need. 29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

1 Corinthians 12

Now concerning[a] spiritual gifts, brothers,[c] I do not want you to be uninformed. 2 You know that when you were pagans you were led astray to mute idols, however you were led. 3 Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit.

4 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; 5 and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; 6 and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. 7 To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 8 For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.

One Body with Many Members
12 For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves[d] or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.

14 For the body does not consist of one member but of many. 15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? 18 But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. 19 If all were a single member, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts,[e] yet one body.

21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 22 On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23 and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, 24 which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, 25 that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. 26 If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.

27 Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. 28 And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, administrating, and various kinds of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 30 Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? 31 But earnestly desire the higher gifts.

And I will show you a still more excellent way.

Christians who honor Jesus with their lips, then walk out the door and deny Him by their lifestyle, are the kind to whom Christ will say, "Depart from Me, I never knew you." I am not a 'just on Sunday christian', I am the same outside of church during the week as I am in church- for I am the church (part of the body of Christ). He lives in me, and I live in Him, and when that's the case, it is clearly seen by all. "A city on a hill cannot be hidden." "Shine like stars in a dark sky during this dark generation."[/QUOTE\]

Really? I seem to recall that he told those who.....

1. Brag and boast of all of their wonderful works
2. Brag and boast of their abilities to cast out devils
3. Brag and boast of their abilities to fortell the future

To depart from him as workers of iniquity.......!

Shakespear said it well.

Life is but a walking shadow,
A poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more.
T'is a tale told by an idiot,
Full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

(The above thoughts tend to refer to life without our Maker regarded at all.) From MacBeth, sililoquy

If the Church stopped being worse than the World, maybe the world would stop by...

Jesus said that they would know us by the love we have for each other...this is an area the church fails at today and in spades...

I think the world is starving for a real church to do Gods real will, and God above all deserves His Glory in our obedience and devotion to Him and nothing else.
God's will for the church, the body of Christ, is to make disciples. God's will for the disciples is to go do His work in the world, the one's He prepared for us beforehand. In that respect, I'm not sure you can fault the churches for not doing their job. Most do.

One can certainly fault about 80% of the Christians in those churches for sitting on their duffs for an hour, hour and a half every Sunday, and do nothing for the kingdom the rest of the week. It is a proven statistical fact that twenty percent of the members of the church do eighty percent of the work within the church. Many of those don't follow up and go outside the church, so most of our membership fails to meet the call of God do to His work.

That doesn't mean they aren't saved. Just means they are "unfruitful" as Jesus said in the Parable of the Seeds of those who fell among the thorns and thistles.

I did, which is why I do not trust much from the internet....just because brother .com or sister .org say its truth does not mean it it truth....
Not trying to argue, but you are on the internet already talking to people about God... So... how does that make sense?
CC.com is not some magically protected website, free from deception and untruth
The Bible and endless amounts of Bible study tools are on the internet. Every person is on the internet these days, believers and unbelievers alike.

We should be able to hear something and weigh it against the Word of God on our own at some point in our walk.
What is the difference of posting my beliefs and opinions here on this forum and recommending a video that expresses my beliefs and opinions?

The United States is a strange country when it comes to Christianity. You have millions upon millions who identify themselves as Christians, yet you see no fruit in most. It scares me to think of how many people I have heard say they are going to heaven because "they" are good, or because they were baptized as an infant, or because they said a prayer once with their VBS leader with the other kids. God makes it clear that it's by repenting (seeking humbly His forgiveness with no excuses)and following Him alone, in other words TRULY knowing and belonging to Him not continuing in sin but a new creation in Christ Jesus. Do we realize that most Christians spend more time watching tv or sports than in prayer or in the Bible? How can we ask why Americas falling apart when the answers so obvious. When many go to churches now, they feel like they're in an organized club where things are kept on a polite schedule; songs, offering, and a sermon that had better end on time so lunch isn't missed. Where are those who want to give their lives to God, who understand we are only here for a moment (anytime our lives are talked about in Scripture it's always mentioned how quickly it goes by as a vapor). People aren't getting what they need from the church, and the church should stop seeking what they need from the world. Listen, I've just got on this sight but it's already breaking my heart to see some of the post. People giving their opinions, but I beg everyone to think on this, there is only one truth and it doesn't belong to any man or woman, it's Gods alone. He's given us life in Christ Jesus to any who will be wise and follow. We need Christians who will truly bow themselves down before God and give Him everything, their time, their energy, their money, their lives. When was the last time you left church speechless? Where you could only think of God and prayed to Him for more of Him? Have you truly surrendered to His will and given up your rights and your life to follow Him? There is nothing in this world that can give you what Jesus can and He's worth giving our lives too. May our days on earth no longer be spend on ourselves; may we love as we ought, forgive as we ought, and stay focused as Paul said to"run a good race" for the only good One who is worthy of all we can give, my Lord Jesus Christ.
Do you think those millions of christians have lost their salvation.

Here is something I wrote yesterday on another forum...

XXXXXXX yes wilful sin is a serious thing. If feel wilful hatred for someone even for split second, I will lose my salvation?

  • Your question begs another question.

    What is salvation?

I contend that salvation is defined in being set free from iniquity and made pure, whereby we are made zealous of doing the right thing. Not perfect knowledge or wisdom of course, rather a state where we love one another with a pure heart fervently.

If one has hatred of another have they been saved from hatred or are they still in bondage to it?

Very many people don't recognise salvation as actually being "set free from sin."

Many simply define salvation as being set free from condemnation whilst in a state of ongoing sin. In fact this is the majority view today. It is the view that MANY believe. Only a FEW people believe salvation is a redemption from all iniquity and being made truly pure.

Life is like a roll of toilet paper; the farther into it you get, the faster it goes.

I think Andy Rooney said that. I always thought it was humorous and very true.

I would appreciate the following:

When new folks join this site and instantly condemn Christendom at large for all its shortfalls and failures, they should follow up their criticisms with examples of what they themselves are doing or what their neighbors are doing to advance the Kingdom of Heaven here on Earth. Sharing positive examples in a humble manner can be very inspirational and bring forth good fruit much more effectively than simply complaining about everything.

My parents "church" is a live stream broadcast from some place in another state. That's it, no way to contribute or build faith and love through fellowship or giving of themselves. But honestly its just as good as actually attending many of these places. You think with all our technology, we could just watch these sermons in our own time and focus on more important things when we come together
technology may not be helping at all. visit in person one or two others for bible reading and prayer, and keep on seeking yahweh all day every day and taking everything to him in prayer, and spend a lot of time doing this and listening/reading his word and ask HIM FOR HIS WORD AND HIS MEANING (do not trust what men anywhere have said - trust yahweh, and test everything)

I would appreciate the following:

almost good. the problem with almost is that 'they' who can clearly see the corrupt church because it is so blatant to everyone who has eyes to see with, yahweh willing,

'they' / 'we' all do not have positive or good or true examples in the cities/ countries/ areas we live in to post about
(and very possibly, if the good gets posted about, they get attacked and scattered (this has happened often - scattering after a short while, whether from being attacked, or peaceably, in yahweh's plan).

and right here on the internet, those who post what is good and true, are under attack by more people/posters than encouraged, because (perhaps) the sheer number of bad outnumbers the good by far and cannot be practically managed/dealt with in open to the public websites/pages/forums/chatrooms --- this was very visibly obvious on the chat room(s) - so many roman rcc advocates (many who did not even know that it is known absolutely and unchangeably as HERESY until someone pointed it out) visited the chat room(s) that a helpful dialogue was virtually impossible.

what can they do in their home locations ? just start meeting with one other person, then 2, then 3, if yahweh provides, meeting daily for prayer and bible reading and ask yahweh to direct their steps and days and all in all in their lives.

if anyone can bring benefit, as desperately needed as it is, yahweh can. (yahweh willing --- remember from his word as it is written there's many he will not visit nor listen to)

'totally' true, as far as can be seen here and most places on any media. only the true(few) remnant, underground, hidden from the public, not on any media, ekklesia meetings are known by outsiders for the love they have for one another and for the totally different LIFE they live as TRUE BELIEVERS.
there 'might' be an exception of a church somewhere that is known also like this, "God Lives with them" ,

but i have not seen one in decades, nor heard of one here, or anywhere, except the home meetings in other countries or specifically in one country, communist china. and a few singularities elsewhere.
