You are Messenger_of_Fire (you lied when you denied that in post#23, just as you lie when you speak about the topic at hand) and soon you will be banned again. Bye troll.
Im no troll. And since you've called me a liar, prove who I am. Or will I be banned because YOU believe I am? That's not in the rules.

Lol!!! Now every name with "fire" in it is suspicious! Ban them all. Just listen to yourself? Again if I call someone a name, belittle or put down any Christian in any way, then chop me. I'm too old to play around just to do it. I'm on here to serve, learn and teach like everyone else.

He wasn't???
Then why do we get presents on his birthday?

Just a joke.
Now we are going to go into Him being born in early autumn, depending on how we look/debate at/ the scripture that suggests this?:p

If asked if the ‘virgin’ birth was symbolic or literal, how would you respond?

Since some Christians hold some scriptures are symbolic and not literal, do those who hold it literal think it would be a false teaching to the faith to hold it as being symbolic?
Is both. Mary was literally a virgin that literally conceived Jesus by the Holy Spirit of God the Father.

Symbolically, the birth of Christ to the virgin is purity begotten from purity, goodness begotten from goodness, a promise spoken and fulfilled.

The virgen conception and birth hail the perfection of the Son of God.

It's literal, since it's only post-modernists - Rob Bell, Bill Mclaren who talk about this - these are deceived people. who probably grew up in church and "liked" playing church but wanted to play it to their own tune

If the virgin birth is not literal then Jesus would have a sin nature. Joseph being sinful would have passed on his sin nature to Jesus through Mary.
LOL, if the virgin birth is not literal, then we gots to figger out what beez a non-literal virgin or non-literal virgin-birth.

Yes, I agree as to the purpose of the virgin birth. Another matter is the curse of Jeconiah, Joseph being a descendant of Jeconiah who was never to have a physical descendant on the throne.

Now if you say "the virgin birth is symbolic," shall we then take that assertion itself as also symbolic?
I should take such a statement as symbolic of nonsense.
