Was the ‘virgin’ birth symbolic?

Numbers 31:17 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him

Conception through knowing a Man

Gen 4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain,

Gen 4:17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived

The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God

Mat 1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

And of Joseph

Mat 1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: andhe called his name JESUS.

Actually, yes. Because she would have to have had sexual intercourse with a man in order for her to lose her virginity. And the bible says, her earthly husband Joseph never made love to her til after Jesus was born.

Job 42:2 I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.

Psa 103:19 The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

I know what your getting at, the word sovereign can't be found in the bible but God's sovereignty is found all over the bible.
I'm asking you to show me anything in the NIV that even hints that Mary was pregnant and a virgin at the same time.

God tells us He is King in a few different places in the Word, in the Old Testament. he also tells us hE is Salvation. It has always been understood.

Isa 43:15

I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.

If you read the Bible and use Yeshua instead of salvation you will see so many places that the salvation plan and the Messiah are weaved into the word of God

Yes, Yeshua was born from a virgin. Why should we believe this? Because the word of God is clear about it...

the Lord himself shall give you a sign; How do you allegorize, spiritualze or symbolize a sign from God. A sign from God is by definition something so different from the natural order of things that it can only be attributed to God.

is a flower literal /just so many atoms and molecules put together/ , or symbolic / beautiful in illustration, yahweh's word, thoughts, and dreams and imaginations (all subject to yahshua, willingly and joyfully!) ?

Certainly the virgin birth is symbolic of believers' rebirth!; however; if an either/or answer is called for then LITERAL takes precedence.

Actually what is written is Matt 1:18, "...before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost."

17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.
18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.
John 8:17-18

While I see that you acknowledge the term 'espoused' represents that Mary was married before she was found with a child of the Holy Ghost, which those who seem ashamed of the the Gospel attempt to redefine espoused as being engaged or promised to marry but not actually married so that it doesn't appear improper.
