Sorry kodiak.

It's impossible not to accidentally post over someone else in this thread. :(
My bad.
don't worry about it. I don't even pay attention to if someone posted over something I posted.

I think we have finally come into "one accord" on this important topic! Unity in white chocolate macademia nut cookies!

And they said it could not be done in the BDF!
Just trying to be a humble servant of the Lord.....and I hope I can help bring unity in other areas too....possibly Biblical?

Why do so many Americans love the KJV Bible?
Mom? Would you care to answer this?

Personally, I think it has absolutely nothing to do with the actual KJV.

Tintin.......It ALWAYS comes down to things written in English? :)
KJV, NIV, ETC. ? Doesn't matter...as long as it is in English.
The whole word needs to learn English....now!!
That is what we speak.....and they must follow us......... Follow US now!!!

Mom?

is this where the only sane reply is DUH!

God clearly made the world in such a fashion that everyone speaks 17th century English.
though it originated in England, maybe that was oversight?
since everyone knows the good ole USofA is.....something else.

anything else is heretical....right?

yo no sé. :(
i enjoy my KJV. but this tally-ho we're Americans biz has got to go. :(

(sorry...can't attempt humor. this topic makes us sad, eh, kiddo?)

I was just joking on Tintin's cliche. (He would know that.)

Although, what he needs to understand, is that Americans have the truth...no one else does, but us.
We read the KJV, so they all should too! Follow us.

Yes Ellie, this topic makes me super sad.
Honestly, as you know ( AND as an American :) ) I think any/ most versions of the Bible is a great/start for anyone seeking the truth.

"KJV ONLY" type, whatever, people scare me a little, actually. Oh, I'm not a big fan of labels too.

Hmmm... English = England? And of course, the Commonwealth countries.

American = USA, I mean America??

The George Washington Bible 1776, maybe?

Or something like that?

I just want to say... I love the women who frequent the BDF.

Psychomom - always sweet and her words are so gentle.

Angela - absolutely inspirational and so knowledgeable

JesusLives - kind, friendly and so humourous

I am sure there are many other wonderful women, however these are the women I've got to interact with so far and it's really been such a pleasure.

God bless you all :)
