Our neighbor moved away earlier this week, which was sad because she was really nice and got along with us really well, and even helped us take care of the porch cat that lives here with us.

But, anyway, she found a box full of old nick-nacks in the barn she just bought, and left them on our porch. And theyre all pretty old : p Theyre all covered in news papers from 1986, so not only did I get to see old nick nacks from that era and before, but I got to read old papers from 1986. I cant tell you how much I love stuff like that : p It always makes me wish I could go back in time.

One of them was a K-Mart ad, and they had sandwich cookies for .99$. I actually thought about going to K-Mart with that old 1986 ad and asking them for the cookies, haha. Sadly the K-Mart in my town closed last year though : p

Oh and we have a coffee cup from a business called Allen-Bradley Motor Starters, I looked up the company and they still exist : p

Cant find the product advertised on the cup though, haha. Dont think they carry that one anymore : p

I think I remember when that Bible verse thread was accidentally deleted, wow, 2k posts is a lot for your count to go down :eek::(:eek: Probably most threads being deleted would not have that great of an effect, except maybe something like this one :)

That is so funny, you say pretty old and then the year 1986 :eek: that is the year my daughter was born :D So she is turning the age I was when I had her :cool:

She is two years older than me, then : p I was born late 1988. Ill be thirty soon, actually. Haha is kinda scary : p

And some of it is pretty old, in fact we looked up the company on one of the dishes we found, the logo they used for that dish was discontinued in 1920 (Near Cut is the name), so its at LEAST like.....97 years old : p

OldHermit I'm an old recluse. I speak my mind very directly and sometimes I let my irritation flow through. Many times I see a person postulating on the Word and all they say is based on intellectual understanding and thus is pure blat. I never mean to offend but being a Wordweaver I speak direct and expect the person I'm speaking to, to deal with his own reaction to it. I'm honest in what I say and expect an honest reaction to it. ¿Entiendes?

Don't you love people criticizing everything someone does just because they don't like. Oh I hate this style of music, therefore everyone who listens to it is a fool.

Are you criticizing someone? I don't care for rap as a music genre either :) But, I would not say anyone who does like rap is a fool. However, we had one guy here who used to compare rap and conflate it with modern praise and worship, as if the two were somehow comparable. How anyone could say profanity and vulgarity is the same as joyfully, humbly, and gratefully lifting God's name on high? I have no words... but that person I could understand someone calling a fool.

I do enjoy some christian rap and if God touches them with it then who are we to judge. Am I criticizing someone, no. Just a general statement I see all the time here and all over the internet and it annoys me
